If you are use to a good wholesome ramen place, this is definitely NOT the place to go!! We had “placed” our orders by writing it on a piece of scrap paper and took a while after that to get water for the table. We noticed our food was ready and on the counter and it took our server some time to get all our utensils ready and then to bring it all to our table! By the time the food hit our table; it was definitely lukewarm. The ramen was mediocre at best!! The broth did not have much taste and I got the black tonkatsu and it left a very weird and funny after taste in my mouth. It was also very evident that the noodles were not fresh and made in house. My sister didn’t even finish her ramen because she really didn’t enjoy it. During our meal; we also noticed that our server was wearing open toe sandals which is a big safety hazard as I’ve worked in restaurants before. In addition, during our meal we noticed our server spilled some soup right by the kitchen area. When we went to pay at the counter, the spill was still there and not cleaned up!!! This is a really big health and safety concern in my opinion. Throughout our meal; no one really came by to ask how our food was or anything. The only plus side is that we got 20% off! Other than that, avoid this place like the plague! There are definitely a lot better places if you are in the...
Read moreThe serving size was quite small; it wasn't even enough to fill my 2 y/o and 5 y/o and they usually leave leftovers when they eat out. I dont know if it's because we went in when they were almost closed and the chef figured we wouldn't see the food until we were home and wouldn't be able to come back and complain. In any case, it was very disappointing. I suppose it's for the best that the serving size wasnt large since the food wasnt that great anyway. It's just upsetting to pay over $20 and not be able to get enough food to satisfy my children. The waitress also seemed very disinterested in serving us, again, I guess because they were almost closed and she wasnt looking forward to more customers, especially a family. We felt quite unwelcome...which is why we opted to take the food to go. Regretting that decision now cuz if we'd stayed, I'm sure the serving size wouldn't be been so tiny. All together terrible experience. Certainly will not be...
Read moreBetween the low quality of food and poor service, this place won't be around long. Especially considering the high quality standards at other nearby ramen shops like Kenzo, I don't know what these owners were thinking. The waitress was very disorganized despite us being one of two groups in there and after telling us half of the menu wasn't available after taking our orders (soft launch I guess?), she ended up mixing up orders or just straight up forgetting what my friends had asked for. It's fair that a new restaurant may be a little disorganized but this was just really sad.
On top of that it's probably the most disappointing ramen I've had. Noodles are lackluster (I highly doubt they are made in houzz), broth was bland and the distribution/quality of other ingredients ruined the order.
There's no point in going here when you can get ramen that's 10x better...
