At $18.95 per large beef sharawma, I expect it to be good. But instead it was overcooked and over salted. I gulped down about two jugs of water to try and not waste this overpriced dish.
And from the over cooked and over sauced taste, I couldn't quite easily distinguish well, but I'm fairly certain that I tasted lamb instead of beef. I only suspect this because it has happened before. I ordered beef, came back at the agreed time and he repeated the order back while packing and said "lamb". When I noted the error, instead of apologizing for the error, he just said "Nah, it's all same same" and simply dismissed it.
Tonight, I placed my order by phone at 5:50pm and was told it would take 15 minutes to be ready. I showed up at 6:10pm (20 minutes after the order). When I arrived, I told him I was there for the pick up order. That's when he gives me a -look- and says "15 minutes" with a shoulder shrug and a frown suggesting I just placed the order and am expecting too fast of service; his mannerism strongly suggested that I was interrupting him or was being unreasonable because I came too early.
Then he asked me what I ordered and then starts to cook it! If I knew of another place and my family wasn't already so hungry at home, I would have walked out right then and there. He took another 20 minutes to cook and I used that time usefully and found another shawarma place nearby.
Frankly, I don't really care much how the decor of a place is, though it does show the state of mind of the owners in how well they take care of their environment. In that department, this place scores a fail.
The food would have had an acceptable mark before when they first opened, but now I have to say the quality has gone down and unfortunately is another fail.
The owners' attitudes and customer service is dismal at best; it is practically non-existant.
Safe to say, I will NEVER EVER return to this place again. I will rather eat cold sandwich from the nearby gas station than to go back to this place.
Total waste of money and ruined a meal...
Read moreThey have good tasting food but good tasting food means nothing if you don't treat your customers with respect. I made a quick stop to get a chicken shawarma there, as I have always liked their food. The owner, this really overweight guy, tells me it'll take ten minutes and to have a seat. A minute or two after sitting down, I received an important call which I had to take outside due to the volume level in which the fat guy was talking with his staff/family and customers. It was an extremely important call, given how I went out in the -20 degree weather to take it.
Minutes later, while I'm outside, someone bangs on the window from the inside of the restaurant. I walk in while still on the phone because at this "restaurant", they supposedly allow you to pick your toppings. I walk in and the fat guy asks me if I want hot sauce. I said no and hear this f*ing guy talking st about me to the customer who he got to bang on the window. I notice that this guy decided he wasn't going to allow me to tell him what I wanted because he had taken the liberty to make the shawarma, however, he saw fit too while bad mouthing me to other customers.
Given how I don't have any allergies and I was on the call still, I wasn't about to argue about a shawarma. Still the way everything happened really pissed me off and I will not be eating there ever again. I also only recommend going there if you like good tasting food but being treated like your business means nothing...
Read moreIf I could give this place any stars it would be minus five stars. I was on my half hour break. I placed an order over the phone and when I got there 10 minutes later, they hadn't even started yet. So they started making it after I had paid for it which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead of time. After waiting another 5 minutes later I said why didn't they start when I ordered 15 minutes ago. At this time the restaurant was completely empty (as usual) and the were 4 grungy men were behind the counter. One said, "you called 7 minutes ago". So I said you wanna see my phone and one of the other guys on the cash, bald head, but not completely bald but like as if you shaved a parrot's head with tiny feathers growing back but not as thick as a parrot's feather but more like hay that you can see the scalp through... long story short, he was bald. So this guy started yelling go away... just go away. I couldn't believe it. How can a business run with such rude workers. No wonder why it's always empty. So I said I don't want to give them my business and would like to return. The baldy pointed at the sign on the wall that said no returns and laughed out loud. Anyway, needless to say, I gave that baldy an ear full of some beautiful words.. said my peace and left. And then the stupid falafel wrap was not even good. So...
