Turtle Jack's Oakville — Restaurant in Oakville

Earlier I came in with my daughter after a long weekend of her having a hockey tournament, I decided to visit the restaurant we have never been to and dine in. I walked in and at first the environment was very nice and not busy at all. The server came by and she ordered from the kids menu the beef tacos with fries, I ordered the garden burger with a mocktail and another meal from the kids menu(Mac and cheese) for my other daughter which I got for take out as she was not there. I asked if fries came with it and the server proceeded to saying not with that meal, I found that weird because every restaurant usually gives fries with any kids meal, I asked if the desert come with it and same thing she said no. I said okay. I was very excited to have dinner with my oldest daughter which I haven’t done in a very long time while being out. She got her food maybe 10 mins in or less. A few more minutes went by and I still didn’t get my food. The server came by and i told her I’m still waiting she was a bit clueless and said I never asked for a garden burger which I did when I ordered my drink! She then went and ordered it in and maybe 15 mins went by and another server came by with my food in a take out box but I wasn’t sure it was mine as I never asked for my food as a take out at all I wanted to dine in as planned. I got so upset because an hour in almost I sat so patiently waiting for my food for this to happen for her to tell me I asked for it to be a take out when I asked for my other daughters food as such! The service was terrible and I was not expecting that from such a restaurant and it completely ruined my night. On top of that my daughter asked for the brownie for her desert and the waitress said a desert doesn’t come with her meal(beef tacos) she was so sad as she was expecting her desert as it states on the menu! I will never go back again!! Just ridiculous especially watching everyone get served before us that came...

Horrific. Dont ever think that chicken wings which are called 'roasters' on the menu refer to Roasted versus Fried (by the way, the roasters are set against the 'fryers' on the same menu).

They are ALL deep fried. And probably 500mg/salt per wing. All seasoning options. It dosent matter.

And the manager Lucas will consciously make you feel like youre an idiot and say he's never heard of this misinterpretation before, it must be my imagination... then he'll throw his server staff under the bus for not explaining things properly. No. Your menu is misleading and unclear. And you cannot tell me that no one has been misled by this poor word choice before.

Everything on this menu, even the grilled vegetables.. Have so much salt that its unpalatable.

The only salvageable thing here, worth mentioning, is the poor waitress whose OWN manager DIDNT have her back. Honestly I have never seen staff thrown to the wolves like that in the interest of defending the company, especially given how illogical the whole thing was.

Im still starving. Never going back, just cant trust an establishment where (I am seeing below) this dude is the GM and he had no use for feedback, logic, or.. Respect for his own employee. She, was an...

Worst restaurant experience we have ever had... ever. We had a reservation and were on time. It took over 40 minutes before our food order was taken, by this time our drinks were already long done. It took over one hour to receive our meal. By the time the food arrived we were grossly dismayed to find the hunter chicken dish didn't have any chicken on it! Then the chicken parmesan came out raw, not cooked at all, in fact it was so raw it was gooey as if they cooked it from frozen but only for a second and didn't bother to check. Then after showing this to the waiter we waited yet again for our food to be cooked, and actually cooked this time. And by the time we got it we took take out because we were there nearly two hours and then we were slapped in the face with a shallow apology and a few 10 dollar meal vouchers which need to be used individually on orders of 30 dollars or more at a future time. Yay...? Oh and just to put icing on the top of this marvelous experience our bill was screwed up and we were charged for items we didn't order, and not charged for items we did. If anyone wants to have these food vouchers take em.. we are never going back to...
