Poorest service by staff(2supervisors) We ordered to dine in, food was served in disposable containers including drinks (we got drinks changed in glass containers after we requested). Other food came in disposable as well. After we finished our meal, I went to staff to inquire about why food was served in disposable instead of dine in containers. Two supervisors (A and S) responded S-Did I take the orders? (S was training someone and basically threw trainee under the bus). Upon reminding S about her supervisory responsibilities and be able to take the feedback about their service she started making excuses and said NOW YOU ARE GONNA TELL ME WHAT SHOULD WE DO AND HOW WE SHOULD SERVE TO THE CUSTOMERS. I responded unfortunately "yes". S also said we didn't know food was for dine in- but she has also placed all the food in trays AND SAID "YOUR FOOD IS READY" WHEN WE WERE SITTING FAR AWAY FROM COUNTER, WE JUST GUESSED THAT IT MIGHT BE OUR ORDER and when asked she said yes it is your order. I suggested her she should have called our name not just "YOUR FOOD". 2nd supervisor(A) breached the conversation and said we should have asked supervisor before taking the food to change the containers. When I attempted to investigate about timeline they would take to change the containers and dump same food in other containers and that may affect the temp and texture of food, A just started making more excuses. A and S both didn't apologise once, were very aggressive, rude, didn't acknowledge any of the concerns, and unfortunately we ended up putting review here. A and S both need customer...
Read moreRight off the bat i want people to know that this review is solely to describe the customer service at this location and not the food or wait times. I used to think that all A&W’s are the same. No big differences across the assortment of Kingston area stores. One night I was returning from work late at night and I pulled into the drive thru of this A&W. I ordered a couple of chicken wraps and root beer. I had 2 cars ahead of me. I waited in the drive thru for approximately 15 minutes and none of the cars ahead of me moved. So I reversed my vehicle out of the drive through and entered the store. The car directly ahead of me backed out as well as they were tired of waiting as well. Unlike the other car though i had the decency to go inside the restaurant. Once inside, I told the staff member that I understand the car at the window must have had a large order so I came in the store to pick up my order. The staff member rudely told me “you backed out of the drive through so I F@&$!* threw it in the garbage. That was the first time in my life I walked out of...
Read moreWent in for breakfast. We're usually big fans of the "eat-in" style of plated breakfast. There was no lineup and or order was taken promptly by a polite fellow who spoke unintelligible English, but we answered his prompts because we already knew what questions get asked in what order (eggs over hard/medium, white or brown toast, etc). Was given a number and took a seat. Drinks came out promptly and the food arrived minutes later. Both my husband's food and mine were completely cold - bacon limp and barely cooked, hash brown cold, toast barely toasted and cold. And both plates had "over hard" eggs despite my husband ordering his "medium" (i.e. still a little flowy). When my husband went to the counter, not to complain, exactly, but to let the staff know the food was cold so they could fix the problem, all he got as a response was a little smirk and a nod. We'll stick to our usual A&W across town (different owner)...
