Went to their comedy debate night. Seemed like they’d never hosted more than 10 people. They seemed surprised by our presence and seated us with strangers, even though we had booked in advance and they confirmed our attendance in advance. Not only were we with strangers, we were seated with our backs to the stage. Table was unstable. Chairs were wobbly. One waiter for the entire joint. He took orders and lost orders. Food didn’t come. When it did it was microwaved pita bread with some cheese - I know 14 year olds who can make higher quality food with their microwaves. What a disaster. I had to go the kitchen to see if I could get some cutlery - what a gross mess - dirty dishes everywhere - I felt bad for them and was thinking of offering to help out. The employees didn’t understand English and struggled with my request for a fork. They had to interrupt the ONLY waiter to have him translate and then he had to get the fork himself. Fork me.
My partner and I kept looking for the candid cameras. Felt like we were in the Truman Show.
Bartender was good and his drinks were good but not good enough to make up for the comedy of errors that was this experience.
It was a three course meal. I never got my first course. I did get the second and after I spoke to a staff, they apologized and then brought me the course I’d already been served and eaten - more microwaved pita!
One of the amateur actors knocked into my partner and spilled her drink! Such a shame the drink was the only thing they got right. Also that actor ate toilet paper that he got from the toilet during their show while the audience was waiting for their food that never came. Think of the poo particles! How unappetizing. Fortunately the food never came so it didnt spoil appetites.
It sucked butt.
Sucked so much butt we left halfway through and paid (again) to eat dinner elsewhere. Can I have my $100 back please? They charged $50 per person!
Update: 3 hours after this disaster, our stomachs are in pain - I assume it’s from the...
Read moreI cannot say enough amazing things about not only this establishment, but the derives and etiquette provided by every single staff member I encountered!
I booked my son’s 2nd birthday party here which was the best decision I could have made! It was a flawless experience and event from start to finish. I booked 6 days before hosting a party of 55 people, including mascots, face painters and balloon artists. I frantically messaged the owner Bonnie on Sunday, and received what felt like same hour service. She not only set everything up before hand in terms of seating and layout, but also had two team members sent up an hour prior to the event, to place additional chairs and tables (that were provided!), as well as MANY additional items we desperately needed, but had forgotten! At the beginning of the party, the co-owner came up himself to place a menu and take orders for anyone ordering outside of the items we provided! It was above and beyond! Bonnie provided a personalized video that played throughout the entire duration of the event! It was played on the projector and was the PERFECT touch to our special day! She took care of everything, and was able to accommodate that service just 24 hours prior to the event! As a mom, things frequently get missed, but Bonnie made sure this event was nothing less than perfection! The pricing, menu, event location and everything in between was absolutely amazing! I wish I had taken more pictures to showcase how truly unforgettable this day was, all thanks to LaVida BistroBar and Social! I look forward to booking many events here in the future, and I strongly encourage everyone to look into this space for your next event as well!
Many thanks again to everyone involved for making my sons birthday something for everyone to...
Read moreWent to the tropicana cabaret night for dinner and a show. Waiter sat us in seats reserved for someone else. We thought the seats were reserved for the tickets we bought. Had to move seats. Show was scheduled to start at 7pm, didnt start until almost 8. Salad was disappointing, something I could make better at home. We ordered the Ropa Veija which was alright but a rather small portion. Dessert options were either 5 peices of fruit or store bought pumpkin pie. The Cuban Cabaret was an interesting show but had an unpracticed air. Speakers were far too loud and sound was unbalanced for the small space. Feels as though they did not rehearse or do any sound checks prior to opening. Unsure if I want to go back. Similar atmosphere and menu options...
