Rainy Tuesday in Orillia, very welcoming after the heat wave, while biking i stopped in to this cute and quaint cafe and shop. Needing some warmth on a 17 degree day i stopped in for lunch around 12:40 and ordered their last bit of French onion soup (small), pesto montecristo sandwich, and a medium coffee (Timmy's style). Positives: Staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Once you've ordered find a nice spot as the staff will attend to your order and deliver to enjoy your choices...view the local art on the walls, you may find your next art piece. Sandwich was hot, fresh, aromatic, and quite tasty. Coffee was hot, smelled fresh brewed, and welcoming from the dampness. Cons: French onion soup was tepid and felt as though the warmer was turned off hours ago...shame as I was hoping for a temperature like the coffee..hot. Price came to $24 which felt higher than it should, but I like to support local businesses...so will be back again. I recommend you give it a try... for the soup ask if it's hot and if not ask to have it heated.

We stopped in for coffee! Always have seen those classic red doors and wondered about Apple Annie's! I feel like Annie’s is such a beautiful community hidden gem. Wonderful staff (new owners I hear), great lattes and we've even found us some fresh gelato. Has some charming elements in service I appreciate, bringing the coffee to you! Lattes are beautifully crafted. I do wish they came in a larger mug however but that's something Annie should consider! We sat in the front of the store (there's 2 entrances) and people watched for an hour. Great spot for this . Parking is paid at the back. Large parking lot shared with Mariposa Bakery. Stop into Annie’s 1st before heading to Mariposa.

I have a severe dairy allergy and dropped by Apple Annie’s on July 30th to see if they would have something on their menu that I could have for lunch. No cheese or dairy is an option for me!! After speaking with our server - she did not hesitate to suggest I have a hearty sausage chowder and some grilled panini with no cheese while my wife enjoyed a toasted sandwich! The food was amazing and the service was second to none!! Please drop by and enjoy the cafe’s decor, local art offerings on the wall and great food choices - gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and everyday menu options - whatever your taste and lifestyle permits - you won’t be disappointed.

I sadly saw that someone has left a 1 star review for my beloved Apple Annie’s, so I now feel compelled to respond.

I have been going to Apple Annie’s for many years. It is a core piece of Orillia’s magical downtown. When I heard they sold (over a year ago) I was curious if the new owners would and could keep this heritage business’s high standard.

Well, I am more than happy to report, they have not only kept the exceptional quality of food and service; but I believe they have taken the cafe to even another level. With some subtle changes the restaurant is even more welcoming and beautiful. New wonderful menu items. And the staff are some of the friendliest in all of Orillia.

As a long time resident I am so grateful for places like this and owners who go above and beyond to make our little city so extra special.

Keep up the...

As a long time resident of Orillia I have frequented Apple Annie’s for many years and always loved the quaint atmosphere and incredible food. When it changed ownership I was very hopeful that it wouldn’t lose any of its charm and quality and I’m so happy to report that if anything it has only gotten better! The new owners took an existing Orillia landmark and applied attention to detail, friendly prompt service and incredible delicious food. I strongly encourage fellow orillia residents and tourists to pay a visit to this lovely, warm and unique restaurant. It’s so important we support our local businesses that clearly go the extra mile for us. Thank you Apple Annie’s for continuing to be the apple of...
