Oh boy where do i begin....i show up and the restuarant was dead on a busy evening on the street (this should of been a warning) First ill say the servers were extremely nice and welcoming...that's where the good stops Where did your menu go? You lost everything! First Red Sangria was way to much red wine and not enough mix, felt like i was drinking just straight red wine out of a vase which glad cause after i got my food i needed to fight the urge too cry with that drink... My meal came which was a chicken club with spicey fries....my chicken was cold and so small it looked like it was taken from a salad then the spicey fries...Change the name cause that's false advertising Got it switched after i was almost crying on my plate and got it switched with a cheese quesadilla...dough mush with bad cheese and STALE tortilla chips You are a far cry from the old Brewery Bay and after almost crying from a 64 dollar meal i left disappointed, stressed and no longer hungry cause i felt sick Thanks for ruining my night and i will never return

I would rate this higher if I could. So glad we discovered this restaurant which caters just as much to vegetarians and vegans as it does to carnivores. 3/4 of their menu has vegetarian options or can be modified into a vegetarian choice. The “veggie chicken” made with soy, and the “veggie beef” made with chickpeas was DELICIOUS. Much better than ANY burger made of animal meat I’ve ever had! So many great appetizers too. We found the poppers were a little overpriced. 5 pub style poppers for $10. Aside from that, everything was fair. Lots of great brews on tap. Extensive kids menu for picky eaters. They offer a children’s grilled cheese which is not listed. Paper straws for drinks even the kids drink which is awesome! Chocolate peanut butter stack was SO good. Will recommend and return again, and again, and again!

Located on what in my opinion is 1 of the quaintest downtown main streets in the outer GTA area you will find several really good eateries. What (to us) sets this apart, is it has an amazing patio & unlike some of its neighbours, it is a true restaurant. I look at those people that pull off the highway on their way to cottages, to line up for 1/2 hour plus to get a burger from some train joint & think WHY ? why would you not jump off the highway, take a chill & have some great food, probably for less money, including gas, than that other guy. Well worth a try !! 1 day step outside the A to B box, take a walk down main street, taste some of what the local eateries have to offer, pretty sure that you won't be disappointed - ENJOY SPA

Very poor service after many visits that were great. I wrote to the owner/Manager and even he didn't respond so here goes folks. See what I experienced and judge for yourselves....

Steve

I guess you don't care about your customers.... I'll post this on Google instead so that future customers can see how poorly you regard your customers.

Regards Brendan Smyth

I was given your email address by a member of your staff so that I could provide you with my comments about the appalling service we received on Sunday evening.

Firstly we have been coming to your eatery regularly for a number of years now and always enjoy the food and service so on Sunday I booked a table online and brought my elderly parents for dinner (their first visit to Orillia and your restaurant).

The 4 of us were placed at a table in the bar area which was pretty drafty due to the fans being turned on high. My partner and mother were cold and we asked politely if 'Steph' (our waitress according to my bill - she was a young girl working the bar and serving tables) could move us or turn down the fans. Her response was that she was too hot to turn the fans off and that there were no tables available other than a couple under the same these fast moving fans.

We were totally shocked by her unapologetic response and so stayed were we where. We ordered our food and drinks and waited for about 10 minutes until even I became cold (and I never typically feel the cold). I proceeded to the restaurant part of your location to see many tables available and I asked the girl at the check-in area if we could move. She was very helpful and said yes. As I returned to the bar area to inform my guests about the move dinner arrived and Steph was stood at our table so I told her that there was a table and that we were moving. Instead of helping us to our new table Steph took my drink glass back to the bar and left us to carry our own food.

Once we finally sat down to eat Steph came to our new table slammed down my drink (which startled my father and spilled a little into the table along with the straw flying into my dinner). She proceeded to tell me that she didn't sit us at that table because "for the record" (a direct quote from her) there is a fan there too (true - but it was on at a low speed and the location was way warmer).

Of course this stress ruined what was supposed to be a lovely evening out and I can't see ever coming to or recommending your restaurant/bar again if you approve of your staff being aggressive and abusive towards your customers. I fully understand that it's been a tough time this past 2 years for all people working in your industry and so I did give Steph a reasonable tip of $10 (on my bill of $128) thinking she may for the first time see that she had been wrong by her behaviour and appreciate that I didn't leave a zero tip for her. I was very wrong. She didn't say a word. She just looked at the tip and stared at me then walked away.

I can only conclude that the hospitality industry is not for Steph and is highly likely to be a cause for your ongoing loss of custom while she is employed as a front of house staff...

We have been part of two large groups in the past week. Let us say that we didn't love the food at old location so we were really looking forward to improvements...this is an honest set of feedback from 10 people. I hope Jenna and her team take this with good intention and make some changes: Good- Floor plan Broken up and now you can hear yourselves for chatting. The bar menu and mixed drinks 100% improvement. The bartenders 100% improvement. The cleanliness 110% improvement. Needs Improvement: the bathroom doors lock weird and if not clasped people just walk in and the men pee all over making them unpleasing for women. Have changed the blade size for the French fries? They are slimmer and they are now coming out cold and soggy. CCBC chips were talk of the town...and the aioli is lacking flavour and the homemade ketchup used to be think and better? The gravy on the poutine is too runny too. Fries used to be poker straight and super double fried crispy. The fish was excellent but no decent tartar sauce. The beef dip was tasty but the Costco 9 grain bun has to go! The pork tacos need a sweeter or more rich sauce, they were spicy but bland? The chicken added to Beet salad was moist and 100% better than before. The chicken wrap with portabella is a fail. all lettuce, mushy tomatoes and weird new in house ranch that has no taste. The men found the small little glasses for there stout beer weird and dainty. The men didn't like the chicken wings...too small and over cooked not plump like the menu describes(we know sourcing is an issue right now) and the men thought you were very skimpy on sides of fries with the burgers. They said buns were dry. But gobbled them up so they must have been tasty. Onion rings were great. Sweet potatoes came out hot and tasty and a pleasant surprise. The fish tacos were skimpy and the cabbage on top over powered the whole taste. Two has soup and said it was bland. We all shared desserts and they were ok . Cookie skillets were undercooked but tasty. the dessert menu was heavy on Chocolate, maybe a lighter add on in future considering your sister place make the worlds best Tiramisu. The tables along the east wall for two are very tiny and awkward, the stools for them are for small butted folks not men. The vibe is awesome and with some menu additions and a chef who is aloud to create weekend specials with lots of flavour we expect to have many more group dinners in your new place. Ribs and potato salad on the patio yes please. Good start to something great!!Staff are 100% on the ball and learning as they go so...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Brewery Bar and wanted to take a moment to share my wonderful experience, largely thanks to our exceptional waitress, Amelia. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, Amelia's warm smile and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home.

Amelia's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive. She took the time to patiently answer all of our questions, making excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Her passion for the culinary arts was evident in her detailed explanations of each dish, enhancing our dining experience.

Throughout the afternoon, Amelia's impeccable timing and efficiency ensured that our glasses were always filled and our table remained tidy. Despite the restaurant being busy, she managed to provide individualized attention to each table, never making us feel rushed or overlooked.

What truly set Amelia apart was her genuine enthusiasm and passion for her work. Her infectious energy radiated throughout the restaurant, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. It was evident that she took pride in her role and genuinely cared about her customers' satisfaction.

In addition to her exceptional service, Amelia's professionalism and grace were admirable. She effortlessly handled a few challenging situations with ease, ensuring that all guests left with smiles on their faces. Her ability to remain calm and composed under pressure truly showcased her dedication to providing an unforgettable dining experience.

I would highly recommend requesting Amelia as your waitress when visiting Brewery Bay. Her exceptional service, genuine warmth, and deep knowledge of the menu will undoubtedly elevate your dining experience. Thank you, Amelia, for making our l afternoon truly memorable. We look forward to returning soon and being greeted with your contagious...
