Terrible experience at Boston Pizza tonight Came in and nobody at the hostess stand to greet us... Finally, someone came over and asked where we would like to sit. We asked to have a seat on the bar side and they said sure go ahead. We sat ourselves at a booth and 3 minutes later Olivia came over and to my understanding, she probably thought great a couple young guys probably not going to tip and we are normally great tippers as I am a server myself and appreciate those who do the same job because it's not always easy. Anyways we place our order and the food was excellent but not once did Olivia ask us how the food was and she bypassed our table several times. When our drinks were empty and plates were off to the side we just figured forget it and when she comes back over eventually we will ask for the bill and a takeout container. After several minutes of waiting and watching her go to the other 2 tables around us, she asked if we were done. I just said yes, can we get a take-out container and the bill and she just said okay. If I go back in there I hope I don't get Olivia again and if so I'll be sure to ask for someone else after tonights experience.
Btw she brought out 2 take out containers and we only needed one and she said oh i guess you only needed one and takes the container away with both lids so we didn't have a lid... Passes me the machine to pay and says ill be back im going to take your plates away. She never came back and we just end up leaving...
Read moreStopped by Boston Pizza just over a week ago and ordered a steak, cooked medium rare, with a baked potato. I was served a very poor looking, paper thin, well done "steak' and reheated mashed potatoes. Apparently they don't offer food that actually has to be cooked in house and doesn't come pre-frozen. I didn't need to taste it to know how horribly wrong it had been cooked but I did sample one bite just for the hell of it. I've eaten cardboard that was more tender and flavorful than the meat that I was served.
I requested a new steak and was assured that it wouldn't be an issue. Ten minutes or so later the manager approached our table to tell me that had been the last available steak in the restaurant but if I was willing to wait an additional 35-45 minutes they could defrost one from the freezer for me. I declined and was asked if they could make me something else. Again I declined.
To be fair it was later in the evening. The waitress and manager did apologize and did not charge us for the little bit of salad and couple bites of cold mashed potatoes that I did eat. They also brought me a complimentary slice of cake since it was my birthday. Sadly I didn't eat that either as no one asked me if I even wanted it in the first place or offered me a choice of desserts and the cake wasn't something that I would have ordered for myself. I appreciated the thought but the entire experience was nothing short of a huge...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went for an early dinner at 4pm, so the restaurant was not busy at all. When we walked in we weren't even greeted by the hostess so we went and sat ourselves in a booth at the bar. The server seemed fine, she took our simple order of nachos to start and then a pizza and a pasta. It was taking a while for the food to come out which was weird because it doesn't take long to make nachos. We then realized they were making all of our food at once. The manager was the one running our food and when we said that we didn't want the pasta and pizza yet and that we ordered them to come after the nachos, all she said was that it wasn't rung in that way and that she could put them back under the heat warmer. We didn't want our food to be under a lamp getting soggy so we left them. We ate our nachos and didn't really touch the pizza and pasta so we packed them up. It was clear we were very upset that they didn't have a better solution then to bring me back the same pasta and pizza 15 minutes later after it was sat out under a heat lamp. We were not compensated at all - the manager didn't come back in to check on us and then the multiple hostesses at the door couldn't be bothered to say thank you and goodbye on our way out. The worst Boston pizza I have ever been to. Drive to the McDonalds across the street if you want...
