Firehouse Subs Orillia — Restaurant in Ontario

well we heard so much about this place so we tried it .Thurs of this week Dec 2nd. 2021 Hands down the worst sub I have ever bought. So I ask for a foot long as my husband and I were going to share, got the club on a sub we drove away and parked to eat it. First the sub was cut into one eight inch half and one four inch half maybe they should buy a tape measure!! Of course I gave my husband the bigger half. It looked good at first but after my first two bites I realized that my husband had the sub. My puny four inches had no cheese my husbands half was loaded with double the meat and all the cheese so the pre packaged ingredients that were taken out of the heater were not distributed equally on the surface of the sub. The last inch of my half was just empty bread. Need less to say my husband thought his was great. I should have taken it back after the first two bites and had them remake it but who has the time for this!! So obviously the person who made the sub does not give a ** about what they send someone out...

Customer service was atrocious. We were a group of three. I sat at the booth with 3 chairs while I was waiting for the order. As I sit there an employee races to the back and grabs her personal items and comes and tosses them on the booth right in front of me right where my other two household members were just about to sit. She proceeds to return behind the counter and ignore the fact that she just scatter her stuff across the booth and continues to work.

We then politely ask - sorry are we not allowed to sit inside here - we have our vaccination records if you’d like to see them. They respond saying we aren’t allowed.

Not sure why they couldn’t have nicely said that to us when they saw us sit down instead of passively aggressively throwing their stuff on the counter as I sit there. Yep, this is a seriously good sammich! I had the Hook and Ladder. Nice and warm but with cool and fresh veggies. A tad pricey at the till but when I opened the bag there was probably 5 bucks worth of carton, bag, napkins and even a couple tasty pickles, so the price was fair. The competition needs to get their butts over to Firehouse to learn a thing 'er two about making subs. Nicely done!

Update: Uh-oh!...went and got the same sub and they're slipping - hoping it's just a bad day. Bun was a tad stale and crumbly and despite the request for pickles, I didn't get any and didn't realize 'til I got home...I guess normally, you let the little things slide, but when you expect this much for a medium sandwich, the end result should be bang-on! You wouldn't accept me paying 85% of the bill, so that's why the complaint. No biggy, I'm just hoping you don't end up like the...
