Cakes & More — Restaurant in Ontario

I had ordered a cake for a team event. Sent someone to pick it up the night before to find that it was decorated wrong. They offered to scrape the top and add sprinkles to cover the error. I said no as I didn't ask for a cake with sprinkles. They tried fixing it on the spot however it was very noticable. They again offered to cover the spot they messed up with sprinkles. I refused again. So they were going to have a different, more experienced decorator pull off the icing, redo it and deliver it to the event the morning of. They did deliver the cake to the event however, they just added more icing and covered the entire thing with sprinkles! I emailed a huge complaint as it was too late for me to do anything about it and I was stuck with a tacky ugly cake and I still have never recieved a response. Not even an apology for the hastle. I think that is terrible customer service and I would never recommend their service as they can't be trusted to deliver a product to be happy with. Since they require you to prepay, I guess they don't care if customers are happy with the cake because they already...

I paid for a cake .About four months ago I have the transaction from my bank and emails we were sending them. Our date ended up being cancelled, so we told them we'll call them next time we needed a cake and not to make it this time.It was already paid for we did not ask for refund. They said that's fine not a problem. Call when we needed one. Someone made a post a few weeks later, stating that they could not afford to buy their child a cake so I called cakes and more to make the cake for that child that i've already paid for. When we called back they had no recollection of what happened when we explained to them they said the owner wasn't in so we ended up having to have to get a cake from somewhere else for that child as i already promised them a cake and didnt want to let them down....

They said that in the next couple days when the owner was back they would give me a call. It's been over a month and I still haven't received a call. Really bad service. Not organized. Would never recommend this...

I recently stopped here from out of town while visiting family and found myself wanting to try everything lol Except I went home and was very disappointed. The pumpkin rolls were far too sweet with an icing that was sickly. I also would of expected them to have a thick creamcheese center not straight icing. And the roll itself again had no flavor but maybe of plain bread... The tart centers were bland with a really dry and lacking pastry. Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were so hard they werent even edible! Peanut butter cookies were ok. But my kids said mine were better because these ones had chunks and were also hard. The little strawberry pastries were ok. The filling was ok. The pastry again was lacking.. And the apple donuts were just awful and again hard! The lady working the counter was nice. The atmosphere was clean. But cant say Id be back to waste another 50 ever. Tim Hortons would be better for desserts than this place...
