Stopped in for takeout after having been at a movie at the Galaxy theatre across from the Eastcourt mall. It was Saturday around 9 pm so we were the only two apart from the staff. Friendly greeting the front staff who answered my questions about the sauces and fillings.

Had seen the “daily $12.99 special with beverage” poster on the outside window before coming in and decided to try that, the Saturday “mixed combo”. I thought it was a Shwarma & potatoes combo, which it was, but the meat was already decided, being thin slices chicken & beef which made for easy chewing & eating.

This was my second and my husband’s first time ordering at Boustain. Atmosphere was pleasant, bright & clean. Food was tasty and the Shwarmas were stuffed full. Reheated them and the potatoes at home at 350 in the air fryer for about 5 min, minus the paper wrap. Pita was flaky crisp at top, but held together well.

I ordered two chicken pita combos and asked for harissa sauce in both pitas. They told me it was added, but it turned out to be the medium sauce—not the actual harissa I requested. When I asked again, the staff responded in another language and ended up adding harissa to only one of the pitas.

I also ordered potatoes and asked for just a small amount of harissa on both portions. The staff member refused, saying the sauce might touch the cap of the potato container, which seemed like an unnecessary reason not to honor a simple request.

Also, be aware: if you're going for the menu of the day deal, you have to specifically mention it when ordering. Otherwise, they’ll charge you full price, even if you're ordering the same items.

After reading few reviews I was hesitant to try them for the first time but I'm glad I did. I regularly order chicken shawarma combo with potatoes from other restos in Cornwall and usually don't find the wraps particularly tasty because I don't like sauces, no garlic, no hummus, I only put tomato, lettuce, olives and taboule in my wrap. But at Bustan I was particularly happy because the taste doesn't come from the sauce added to the bread, the great taste was in the chicken itself so even without garlic/hummus my wrap was very good, the chicken was super tasty. For my husband however his hummus alldress wrap was dripping all over next time he'll have it without the coleslaw salad in the wrap.
