I recently had the misfortune of ordering from Chef on Call, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I can't express how disappointed I am with the entire experience. From the quality of the food to the customer service, everything fell far short of my expectations.
First and foremost, the food was abysmal. I ordered a simple pasta dish and a burger, and both arrived overcooked and completely devoid of flavor. It was as if they had used a microwave to prepare the meals, leaving them with a rubbery texture and a complete absence of taste. I have had better frozen dinners than what was served by Chef on Call.
The delivery time was also a letdown. I was told that my order would arrive within 45 minutes, but it took well over an hour and a half. When I called their customer service to inquire about the delay, I was met with indifference and no apology for the inconvenience caused.
To make matters worse, the packaging was subpar. The food containers were flimsy, and it looked like they had been thrown together haphazardly. This resulted in my meal arriving in a disheveled and unappetizing state.
What bothered me the most, though, was the lack of customer care. When I reached out to express my dissatisfaction, I was met with indifference and even some rudeness from their customer service team. It's clear that they don't value their customers' opinions or take feedback seriously.
In conclusion, my experience with Chef on Call was nothing short of a disaster. The food was dreadful, the delivery was late, the packaging was shoddy, and the customer service was abysmal. I will never order from them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this culinary catastrophe at all costs. I originally had an expectation that the tenders would be similar to competitors, however it had impressed me to the point where I keep coming back, and don’t order fried chicken anywhere else. When fresh, it’s always crispy, never dry, and that has always been the case. During this time, I’ve also had the opportunity to try a variety of burgers, sandwiches, pastas and milkshakes, however I always end up ordering the tenders if I want to treat myself to some comfort food. I’ve even made it up to sous chef rank on the app — majority of points coming from the tenders alone.
I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for one thing. The chicken used has drastically reduced in size, and frankly I’m incredibly disappointed that y’all have decided to stoop as low as to ‘shrinkflate’ the portions. I remember a time when I used to be able to order 4 tenders which were the length, and thickness of my hand (and also have left overs), however now it’s a joke of what it once was.
I’m not sure if it’s an issue with your supplier, but this is a trend that I have been noticing over the past 2 years. I would give a lower rating based on this fact alone, but I’ve never had a bad experience with the taste of the food or service which makes up for it.

First of all, they encourage you to order via the app to have access to the discounts which is not an issue. What is the issue is the ordering process via the app which is cluttered, confusing, and a super weird experience when you’re in the store already and they want you to order on this app.I had to ask one of the workers a few questions to even begin ordering.
I ordered some fries and a milkshake to which I received the milkshake about 8 minutes after ordering, and my buddy then got his entire meal shortly after. We stood around for 5 minutes waiting for my small fry, and had to ask about the whereabouts of it. The person behind the counter had to go back to the kitchen to check on it and then told us they put it inside my buddies bag. I don’t even know how the guys in the back knew we came in together and not sure why the clumped our orders together without telling anyone or documenting it on the package itself.
Now the food, both our milkshakes were room temperature, the fries tasted straight from Costco and my buddy said his tenders were not worth the high price.
