Very disappointing experience at Zaatar’s on Adelaide. We waited 40 minutes for our food, which we understood since it was Eid, but the manager was rude from the start. When the food arrived, the cheese smelled off—like it was expired—and all six of us agreed something wasn’t right. When we politely brought it up, instead of addressing the issue, the manager got defensive and overreacted.
As regular customers, we expected better service and some form of compensation, but we were completely dismissed. This is not the way to treat loyal customers. Definitely rethinking coming back after this experience.

I completely understand it was Eid and that the place was busy—we were patient and respectful about the wait. What we weren’t okay with was how dismissive and defensive the response was when we pointed out that something seemed off with the food. Instead of handling it professionally, things escalated on your end, and we didn’t feel heard as loyal, regular customers.
You claim I was dishonest, yet I told the other location about the experience exactly as it happened. I wasn’t trying to make a scene—I just expected to be treated with the same respect I always gave when supporting your business. One bad experience won’t erase all the times we came before, but the way it was handled that day definitely left a lasting impression.

Read moreI ordered pastry on Thursday for my daughter's potluck and we told them not to put sesame, when I went to pick the order they made it with sesame and I asked them to change the lady was not happy and after couple of minutes she told me she will make a new ones and I have to wait, I told her I will wait. I took the new order abd my daughter took with her to school next day and we discovered that it was not cooked well and you can taste the un cooked flour taste. We called them they said we have to bring the old ones in order to give us a new one. I have been a customer with them for since they open, I will never ever go there again. To the o wner of the store please train your staff in regards to customer service specially the young lady that was working on Thursday and today as she very rude. I honestly worried about trying the north location as it’s Zaatars first franchise. This is the best real life test to any food vendor. The Zaatars brand really proved their quality and consistency. I been an advocate for the south location for a long time and I’m happy to say they made the second one just as PERFECT! Forgot to take pictures of the food we were really hungry :).
