Dough Boys East London — Restaurant in Ontario

The owner of the place was absolutely excellent, despite the fact that the place must have been so busy. I could hear the busy movements on the phone when I called to make a complaint.

My husband and I placed an order through Uber, since that was the only way, suggested for delivery. The Uber driver called our phone number, saying that the address was wrong, and that the address on the order was the pizza place where he had just picked it up/ He left the pizza there, not wanting to deliver it to our address, even if we had offered. We tried for almost an hour to get a hold of the Uber customer service, since the driver told us that it was the only way to fix the problem.

My husband was on the phone, waiting for the text support from Uber, but I called the pizza store and complained. Since the owner couldn't do anything about, but offered to make another one right away, and we could pick it up. He was bending over backwards to make it right.

We actually ordered the pizza for delivery, because we didn't have a car. It was really frustrating. Despite my anger towards the Uber driver, I would like to comment with a compliment on the owner of the establishment. Thank you very much for your unending support, even though you could have dismissed me on the phone and letting me know that you were up to your neck with other orders.

Decided to try Doughboys last night, and it was a great choice! After having a bit of an issue with ordering through Uber eats (no fault of the restaurant!!), the gentlemen that I talked to were incredibly kind and accommodating. Their customer service was outstanding, and made me happy with my choice before even trying the food. We ordered the pizza and wings combo along with the sugar doughboy. The pizza was delicious, the perfect amount of toppings. For the chicken we had the strips, and they were some of the best I’ve had! The chicken was moist and had a nice crunchy batter. Lastly, the doughboy was amazing. Personally was the highlight for my funnel cake/beaver tail loving self!

I couldn’t recommend Doughboys enough. Even if they food was subpar (which it wasn’t, again it was great!) the customer service was beyond what I would have expected. Thank you, and you definitely have new customers as a result! Just will be ordering directly through the restaurant...

Ordered the dill pickle and Hawaiian pizzas. I really wanted to try the dill one — and it was quite delicious. Although, trying it was enough... it was very unique and I’m not sure I would order it again — I almost felt like it needed something to cut the tang of the pickles (and I am a pickle lover) — maybe bacon or something savory. It also was a bit raw on the bottom so we ended up pan frying the bottom to crisp it up a bit before eating. I also ordered the Hawaiian as our “safe” choice in case the pickle pizza was gross. I was really disappointed in the Hawaiian. The meat was super tough like it had been over cooked (it was more like a ham roast than deli meat) it also seemed very fatty which also made the meat chewy.
