We ordered from Edo, cautiously optimistic considering the reviews were either very positive or very negative. We got the chicken teriyaki bento and a beef bento. This was a whooping 40 dollars. Insane price for takeout . We ordered through the website and requested spring rolls and gyoza as sides for one bento and the sushi for the other.. However we got just sushi... Okay I was willing to let that slide if the sushi was good. It was very bland, and not good... just boring. No love was there. The beef dish was just as disappointing and boring and the chicken as well. I couldn't even stomach the flavors. It's like my body was telling me something was wrong with the food. I'm currently making myself some dinner, as I didn't even want to eat more of this. I hope more attention is paid to the orders, or to perhaps ensure their website isn't buggy. Also teriyaki should not be bland. It is rich, salty, and sweet. I likely will not be back, unless it is to try their bubble tea... but def no hot food again any time soon...

Store wasn’t overly inviting - stools up blocking tables…maybe it’s a new decor trend but it screamed “please go..don’t stay peasants”. Our food came out incorrect and instead of simply fixing it - one of us sat without eating for over 25 minutes waiting for the roll we ordered to come out. Not a great date night experience. My surf and turf roll finally came out - which you think would mean celebratory mastication of the best sushi roll everrrrr…sadly no. The shrimp was frozen…like only some pieces were frozen but they were all cold. It was like a fun game of catch the coldest shrimp! The beef terryaki bowl also left my hot date with less than excellent feelings about his meal. The nestea was good. We aren’t “those people”. I’ve enjoyed questionable street meat in Mexico… Sadly we will leave our sushi to more trained chefs next time - it was a poor $40 investment on our part.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We brought the whole family to Edo Japan in London, and it was an absolute hit with everyone! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We ordered a variety of dishes — the noodlefull bowls, sushi, fried tempura yams, gyoza, and bubble tea — and not a single thing disappointed. The noodlefull bowls were hearty and packed with flavour, the sushi was fresh and delicious, the tempura yams were perfectly crisp, and the gyoza had just the right balance of crunch and tenderness. The bubble teas were a huge crowd-pleaser, with fun flavors that the kids and adults both loved. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was welcoming, making it a great spot for family dining. Edo Japan has definitely become one of our go-to places in London for tasty Japanese food. Highly recommend if you want quality, variety, and a great experience for the whole family!

Staff was friendly, and polite, aside from one guy who tried to argue with me about milk tea and needing to specify if you want to have different tea before you order... which I did when I ordered and was told it's not how they do things.

Tables were dirty despite nobody being in there. Sushi was premade, prepackaged, and small for the price, and thus rather mediocre. Gyoza was good. Ramen was mediocre, though the broth was nice. "bubble tea" is, as the man at the till said, pre-made, in large batches, and then chilled to be very, very cold. It is not possible to order it hot, and it tastes nothing like milk tea. It just tastes like heavily sweetened watered down milk.

I asked for the bubble tea to be made without ice, and recieved it with ice, and not fully sealed. When they asked how everything was, I explained, and I was told they could "make it without ice", and I was brought anither cup of the same gross drink despite not asking for it. I tried it again thinking it might be different, but it was the same, so it makes me think they may habe just scooped out the ice, and replaced the seal, but I don't know.

Either way, I wouldn't return, the food wasn't...

Edit: We went back and ordered more food, I mentioned what happened last time to the manager or he could be the owner. He remembered what nay have happened and was apologetic. He offered us full refund and discount for the next order. We were very appreciative.

We ordered the make your own 4 people meal for take out. We paid extras for asian veggies too. The amount of food and quality was embarrassing. We had guests over and the food was not even enough for one adult. They sent us one container of noddle that they normally use for 1 person meal and a very tiny container of chicken which was not even quarter full. We couldn't take it back because they already took too ling to pack the order and our guests were waiting home for lunch. We had to pick up pizzas because the food we got was barely enough for 1 person. And while I was trying to place to place the order the person placed me on 10 min hold and was talking to his staff in the back ground. Horrible experience and...
