COBS Bread — Restaurant in Ontario

First time going to a Cobs Bread and it was fantastic. The team is great and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. From the moment you walk in, the warm scent of fresh bread and pastries hits you. The display is vast. Everything is well-presented and clean with shelves upon shelves of fresh loaves of bread, danishes, cinnamon buns, scones and more. The variety is truly impressive with everything from sweet to savoury. The owner and her staff of bakers are equally as impressive as they greet you with a warm smile and an in-depth knowledge of the products. We used to love cobs bakery but there has been a steady decline in quality and a very high turnover in staff since Sasha left. The cheese pull apart bread has turned into a reg loaf with some cheese on the outside. Certainly not worth the $. There have been holes in the bottom of many different loaves that are sometimes quite deep and only find this out once we get home. The last veggie pizza we bought wasnt cooked in the middle and the bag of buns we purchased had one that was squished flat. The final recent visit consisted of rock music playing so loudly you couldnt converse with staff wearing the required mask and the staff member was surly. Now it's been a couple weeks since I went in here but I just have to say as it's been stuck in my head.. I was very impressed by not only the variety of breads but the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I went in and didn't realise I was a few cents short on my purchase. The cashier told me to not worry as she would buy a couple pastries for me. This act of kindness believe or not can go a long way and it says a lot about how this business is run. I was there a few minutes before close so the fact she wasn't rushing me and helped w my questions made me feel quite good. I will definately be returning for some of the ham and cheese buns, scones and almost all the pastry as they are all to die for. Thanks guys....
