The dogs that we did try weren't bad, but didn't stand out from the crowd to match the hype.
The experience on the other hand is lacking in a big way.
Understanding they are a new business opened in this weird time we're in for retail/food, maybe it's just growing pains, but for me it's two strike outs.
First time ordering, found out they don't take phone orders and must have skipped the tutorials for the ordering apps they use as the staff had struggles with the entire process.
Should have listened to the other reviewers, don't bother with the fries, even when picked up "fresh" they were cold and soggy by the time I walked out the door.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they had an off day on the first go round, we opted for delivery for our second go at it. Got the nice surprise of finding out their menus on the ordering apps are not up to date with what you'll receive. For example, if you order a corndog with something "infused" into the batter, you're actually getting a plain corndog with toppings poured on it. Theater cheese for theater prices a "premium" dog does not make.
As for pros, they do use almost solely recyclable packaging for the eco conscious, albeit the one size fits all approach for containers yields a lot of empty space and a barren looking presentation. Also, didn't have to ask for condiments, napkins, etc. and both orders had some in the bag, although they could save money and waste by asking which condiments you want or adding the option to select...
Read moreI used to eat here with my partner quite often when we lived closer by. I was just taking a look online through Uber at the other restaurant ran out of your kitchen, to see if things had changed (as I have tried them a few times but they were very overpriced for the quality that was provided). I always liked Frank & Furters because they had great value and were super generous with portions. Unfortunately though, the responses left from the owner have left me leaving this review. Very unprofessional, somewhat nasty replies left to customers that had negative experiences. Demanding that they called first before leaving a review. Yet, they are leaving a review due to poor experience and that is their way of contacting directly.
It is best to realize that the level of professionalism from your business will either attract customers or repel them. If you are combative towards people that took the time to leave a review, then you not only lose business from them directly, but from others that see how you interact with customers. People avoid because they don’t want to have a similar experience.
Even though the other business run in your kitchen has now cut the prices by 2/3 in comparison to the original price, because of their responses to customers, it made me not purchase even though it’s sooo cheap. So I looked into Frank & Furters because you guys were reliable, to see just as nasty if not more, replies to customers. Totally offputting...
Read moreNegative: Not only did it take them so long to make the order that the delivery got reassigned twice, they also didn't provide any salsa or sour cream that's supposed to come with the tacos. I guess I'm eating dry tacos tonight. I was weary of ordering based on the reviews. I regret it. Positive(ish): Tacos do have a good amount of meat though. Wish they seasoned the meat with taco seasoning or something. It's just a smashed up burger patty. The salsa and sour cream would have gone a long way to help with the taste and would have made the tacos pretty decent. I'd order them again if they didn't forget the salsa and sour cream.
Edited to add that if they just advertised these as some type of big Mac taco and put a big mac-esque sauce on it, they'd be sooo good and they wouldn't even have to worry about adding salsa and sour cream on the side anymore.
In response to the owner's comment: I watched the drivers sit and wait outside the restaurant before canceling the delivery on their end which causes it to get reassigned. Customers can see that on the ubereats app. That is completely within your hands. Maybe don't run 5 different kitchens out of one restaurants and orders would arrive on time and as they should be, without things...
