Friend's Diner — Restaurant in Ontario

Was in Orillia for a tournament and needed a place for late breakfast. Found this spot after a quick google search. We were not disappointed. It’s a smaller restaurant with limited seating so we had to wait for a table. But it was a short wait as the service is super fast and well worth it. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The menu has all the usual breakfast fare and lunch as well. The prices are extremely reasonable and many of the items on the menu include your coffee or tea which lightens the bill even further. I had the omelette with my choice of 3 ingredients, served with Friends special home fries (mixed with onions and peppers), and rye toast. It was all cooked to perfection and served hot and fresh. We all enjoyed our meals. The chicken fingers and fries were very good according to my son. I would highly recommend Friends Diner if you are a local or visiting this small...

Friends Dinner in Orillia, Ontario, is truly a hidden gem! Open from 7 AM to 2 PM for breakfast and lunch, it’s the perfect spot for a cozy meal. I absolutely love their fish served with a Caesar salad—no bacon, just fresh and delicious! Their grilled cheese is also a must-try: crispy, gooey, and comforting.

Came in for breakfast late on a Sunday afternoon about a half hour before close. We were greated graciously and never felt rushed. Waitress was very kind, our breakfast food came out quick. Coffee was fresh and hot. Loved the peppers and onions that come with the homefry potatoes. Clean and cute interior, diner feel reminds me of places my grand parents used to take us kids growing up. Great prices, would love to see what else they have on the menu for lunch time. Only thing I will say is the bacon was quite overdone but I prefer it over under cooked. Food also didn`t make us feel sick, overly full, tired or sluggish- which is normal for greasy spoon type restaurants....
