Gina’s Grill – A Hidden Gem

Gina’s Grill is a fantastic little spot that serves up some of the best Greek food I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has a charming, old-school diner feel with comfortable booth seating, warm lighting, and lots of greenery hanging from the ceiling. It’s a nice mix of casual and homey, making it a great place for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Now, onto the most important part—the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything exceeded our expectations.

First, we started with a plate of homemade tzatziki served with warm, grilled pita bread. The tzatziki was thick, creamy, and had just the right balance of garlic, dill, and tangy yogurt. It paired perfectly with the soft, slightly charred pita, which had a great texture and just the right amount of seasoning. The dish was beautifully presented with fresh tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and olives, adding a nice freshness to the plate.

For our mains, we tried the grilled chicken plate, which came with rice, roasted potatoes, and a side of vegetables. The chicken was grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned with classic Greek flavors of lemon, oregano, and olive oil. The rice was flavorful, with bits of carrot and peas mixed in, and the roasted potatoes had that delicious golden-brown crispiness on the outside while staying soft and fluffy inside. The side of broccoli and carrots was cooked just right, adding a nice balance of color and freshness to the dish.

The portions were generous, and you could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. The flavors were authentic, and each dish had that homemade touch that’s hard to find in larger chain restaurants.

One thing I really appreciated was the service. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick to offer recommendations. They checked in on us just the right amount without being intrusive, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, Gina’s Grill is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. The combination of delicious, homemade Greek food, a cozy atmosphere, and excellent service makes this place a must-visit. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a hearty meal, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back to try more...

Myself and a guest visited this location for the first time last week. The experience was terrible.. We visited the location on a Friday morning just before 9AM for breakfast. We entered the location and were not acknowledged. We realized we had to seat ourselves. As I passed a waitress, I inquired if they had an early bird special. The waitress had no idea what I was talking about. I found this odd as this is a very common breakfast feature at a lot of breakfast restaurants. The entire visit, ALL the staff working continued to make fun of me and my question. The service was not great and fairly slow. The food was just OK. We ordered a regular breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, home fries. My guest ordered a BLT with home fries. The eggs were extremely overcooked that they were hard. The bacon was extremely well done. We had finished our meals and had never been checked on, had our plates cleared or offered the bill. After making our way to the front area and asking for our bill from a staff, we had to wait for the waitress to finish everything she was doing to ring us in. Our bill/ meals were rung in at a higher price than what was listed in the menu. Not a great overall experience for us. Very...

My mom and i went on a movie date and were very hungry afterwards, we tried a few places around the theater but all were crowded and the menu items didn't appeal to us. We sort of stumbled upon Gina's, it is a bright, warm place with a great diner atmosphere! I was craving pasta and recognized Gina from Minos so i ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, as did my mom. It was simply amazing!! No word of a lie probably the best i have ever had! The portions were just right and it came with a side of warm crisp but soft garlic bread! The sauce was clearly made by someone who has been cooking for a long time and had a very homie taste! I will be going back! And i cant wait to share this little gem with more family...

Update: Came here again week later on the way back with the tween kids insisting. They loved it. ================= Came across this cute little diner when searching for a place through Kingston while on the way to Ottawa. This place has large meal portions and awesome service! Just like my ole hometown and many places I've encountered throughout the US of A. Hubby had the turkey club and was surprised by the thick slices of turkey in his sandwich. Now THAT is a proper club sandwich! I had the all day breakfast platter. Love the seasoning that they've put with the home fries. Definitely tasty and unique. From the outside, it's deceiving as there's plenty of space for large parties. Definitely recommend.

Tried to love this place, but maybe we were just unlucky. The day we visited, it really felt like the server didn’t want to be there—both my partner and I could feel the attitude from the moment we sat down. The omelette was overcooked on the inside (the bacon and fillings were burnt), which didn’t help the experience. You can get a better breakfast elsewhere, and for a lower price. I was hoping the higher cost here would be reflected in the service or attention to detail—after all, breakfast is just butter, eggs, and bread, right? A grumpy 10am server just isn’t it for us.
