Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at Kebab 44 Kingston, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I have tried many kebab and BBQ places, but Kebab 44 stands out as the best in Kingston.

I meant to write this about two months ago as this incident happened some time back, but here goes.

Our initial impression of this restaurant was positive specially since they are one of the few halal outlets in kingston. The staff greeted us warmly and even offered my son a complimentary slushie. Unfortunately, this positive experience quickly soured. My three-year-old son became unwell and vomited. The immediate staff reaction was visibly negative, making us feel unwelcome. While accidents happen, a more empathetic or helpful response would have been appreciated.

Instead, we were left to clean up the mess ourselves. My wife handled the table and seating area while I attended to my son (she was also pregnant at the time). The lack of support from the staff was disheartening. No one offered assistance, and we were not even acknowledged for cleaning up. Came here for a quick lunch pickup and while the food was nice, I had a few problems. Firstly I paid with cash, and my change was never offered to me. My bills were put into the till and then server just walked away. Secondly, I wasn't asked about the topping choices for my wrap. It came fully loaded, and I was surprised I didn't get a choice like every other kebab and shawarma place I've been to. Luckily I'm fine with all the options, but not everyone would be. The biggest issue I had is that I ordered a beef wrap and when I got home I discovered it was chicken. I did check the order screen when it was presented to me to check, and it did say beef, so I'm disappointed that's not what I got. Overall it was tasty enough, but I probably won't be back when there are other more consistent options available...
