Excellent Coffee and Dessert, but a Mixed Overall Experience
I visited Kebab-Tu a few months ago during my first trip to London, and while some time has passed, the experience left just enough of an impression to warrant a review.
The food itself was serviceable—nothing particularly memorable, and I’ve certainly had better renditions of similar dishes elsewhere. However, the dessert and coffee were a pleasant surprise. Both were executed beautifully, with the coffee in particular standing out for its depth and quality. It was clear that care and attention had gone into both.
What struck me most, however, was the atmosphere—not so much inside the restaurant, but the immediate surroundings. The vibe of the area felt slightly offbeat and a bit difficult to place. It wasn’t unwelcoming, just unexpected—perhaps a reflection of visiting the city for the first time and not yet being attuned to its varied neighborhoods.
Overall, Kebab-Tu didn’t leave a strong impression in terms of its main offerings, but the excellent dessert and coffee elevate it above average. While I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to return, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again if I were nearby and in need of a sweet bite and a solid...

I recently ordered Iskender, Künefe, and Stuffed Meatball from this restaurant, and it was a total disappointment.
The Iskender was soggy and tasteless, with a pile of wet bread underneath the meat. The meat itself tasted like it was from the day before — completely lacking flavor and freshness. For $32, this was unacceptable. Many Italian restaurants offer far better quality food at this price.
The Künefe was even worse — no buttery aroma or flavor, clearly made with margarine instead of butter.
On top of that, I ordered a stuffed meatball for $5.99, and they only sent one piece, even though the picture on their order page clearly shows four. That’s misleading and dishonest — a total rip-off.
To make things even worse, the order (delivered to a hotel room via Uber Eats) came without any utensils, napkins, salt, or pepper. I had to make fork out of plastic cup in hotel to eat.
This is simply unprofessional and careless. I’m honestly surprised by all the positive reviews — maybe those people don’t know what real Turkish food tastes like or they’re friends of the...

As someone from the Middle East, I’ve been searching for a place that captures the authentic taste of home — and this restaurant delivered that and more. The flavors were so rich and genuine that for a moment, I truly felt like I was back in the Middle East. It wasn't just a meal; it was a nostalgic journey through familiar aromas and comforting tastes.
I tried the Iskender kebab and Adana kebab, and I have to say, the quality and flavor of the meat were outstanding — far superior to many kebabs I’ve had in Arabic, Iranian, or other Middle Eastern restaurants, whether in London or even in Canada(and I'm Iranian!). The Iskender, in particular, was absolutely delicious.
Beyond the food, the experience was elevated by the warm hospitality. A kind gentleman named Nasimi took our order — a young man who was not only polite and well-mannered but genuinely friendly and attentive. Talking with him made our dinner even more enjoyable and memorable.
This place is a true gem. It offers not just great food, but also heart and soul — something that's hard to find. Needless to say Highly...
