Malibu Restaurant South — Restaurant in Ontario

Decided to try this place out as a breakfast date with some friends and this was probably the worst experience I've ever had service wise.

When we arrived we were seated right away, there was a bit of people in there but it wasn't full when we arrived. We then waited 15 minutes to even have anybody even come to our table and when she did there was not much to it other than what do you want to drink... i informed her we were ready to order since it has been a bit. She took our order while being rude to be honest rushing us on speaking it to her. But even then we were like maybe she's just having a bad day. The restaurant itself was decorated nicely the food did come promptly but she put the plates down and then literally scurried off... no can I get you guys more coffee or anything you need?

She did what i like to call a drive by checkup and literally asked how everything was but before we could even say a thing she was gone... like I mean she ran by our table. Literally lol. Again no coffee refill.

We then sat there for 20 minutes with no service to the point I asked the one server who wasn't ours if she could send ours over as we need boxes and she looked at me and said oh .. uhm I'll just grab them. Brought us tiny tiny boxes for pancakes and French toast to which we had to say something about how our food won't fit in them and she was lovely to deal with I'll say and did indeed grab us proper boxes. Then it got interesting we asked for our bills and sat there for over 10 minutes. Our waitress came over and didn't ask us anything about the food so when she passed the machine to the manager my friend said she was very very unimpressed with the service we had. To which the manager actually replied this happens at restaurants. The irony is, two of us actually work in the restaurant industry and yes they get busy but there was no reason for us to have to ask to be served, to be cashed out ( i actually had to remind the manager I hadn't paid when she said bye to us) and all in all it was astonishing how poor the service was. Im never one to even write reviews and i absolutely understand wait times when it's busy but the service was downright cold and nonexistent and I won't be back...

Great food...we enjoy the breakfast so much but the staff is a different story. On Saturday October 16, 2020 we went to have breakfast, as I started walking to the front door I fell in a pot hole and hurt myself. My boyfriend had to pick me up because I couldn’t get up. We went inside and my boyfriend asked if we could have the very first table because I was limping and he didn’t think I could walk very far. He explained to the waitress what happen and she seemed very concerned and said she would tell the owner. Our waitress then came to serve us and my boyfriend told her what happen. Her response was the same thar she would tell the owner. Now you would think if 2 people went to the owner of the restaurant and told him someone was hurt outside that he would want to come over himself and ask if the person was alright ... right? .... wrong that didn’t happen. When my daughter came over for a visit we explained to her what happen and she was upset and called the restaurant and talked to a man who claimed he was the manager. He told her no one said anything to him about it and that she needed to call the contractors when did the parking lot..ok we get it but you would think that he would call them himself and want that fixed so that someone wouldn’t fall down and get hurt like myself or especially an elderly person. This manager called my daughter back and told her he talked to his staff and that they both told him that I said ... I almost fell down...not true buddy because it was my boyfriend that actually spoke to them both...well all I can say is I will be calling the city so that this doesn’t happen to someone else and because the staff here are a bunch Boe liars I won’t be stepping in this...

THIS IS A MUST TRY!!! Amazing place, and even better food! The inside is clean, and has amazing decor to give you a beach vibe, and the service was quick! Basically a 12/10 in my books.

My boyfriend and I went here on a whim because we were soo hungry, and I am so happy we did. I’m typically very picky, and I have a hard time going to new restaurants, but this place was definitely way better than I was even hoping for! The service is fast, and the food is AMAZING! Plus, they have a huge selection from sandwiches, wraps, pasta, Greek dinners, & plenty of different appetizers! They even have desserts made both in-house and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

We got the bruschetta as our starter (which I typically do not like this dish from many places) and it was to die for - so fresh, amazing flavours, the bread was immaculate!!! I could eat the entire plate myself if my boyfriend wasn’t there LOL. For our mains, I order the chicken souvlaki dinner, and my boyfriend got the deluxe panzerotti. So. Good. Tons of food, the servings are huge! Managed to walk away with enough food to-go for another meal.

They made an effort to check in on us often, and we believe the owner (could be wrong about this title) even came to see how we were doing! Again, amazing service, and even...
