Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Ontario

I placed an online custom photo cake order 2 weeks prior to picking it up. I was extremely disappointed and upset when I was handed a blank cake with no picture. Despite my order having a successfully uploaded custom picture, and me paying the price for it, the person who “wrote the order” left out the fact that it was a photo cake. I had planned my husbands birthday theming around this photo cake and this store could not follow through with instructions. Upon discovering their mistake they did offer me a full refund however the employee was less than sympathetic and said “well you get a free cake” however what I wanted was the proper cake that I ordered. When I asked them to just remake the cake for me the same day, she declined my request stating that “the owner is not in today and they have to do it”. So yes, I did get a “free” cake due to this store’s incompetence but I basically received a “too bad” instead of a proper fix. She also declined to give me the owners name so I can speak directly with them about my issue, and instead handed me a generic marble slab business card with no names on it. I chose this place for my husbands cake because of the custom printing they offer and I looked forward to his reaction the whole 2 weeks leading up to pickup day. The ice cream is always going to be good. But the customer service at this location is absolutely terrible. It’s been now several occasions where the young girl workers are so unbelievably rude. They don’t greet you at all when you walk in and you literally have to ask them to SERVE YOU as the customer!!! In addition to that, they give a lot of negative facial expressions, in other words “dirty looks” while serving you. Tonight, my little brother even said have a good night and the girl didn’t even say thank you or you too, she just ignored the kid. At the same time I ordered a MEDIUM icecream and it was the same size as my little brother’s SMALL ice cream, then when I brought it up she gave me some lame excuse about the toppings making his icecream look bigger even though we got the same amount of toppings. I wasn't planning on going here but we had just ate next door and my niece wanted dessert. I had never been here before and I thought it was so cool how that have a variety of items you can add to your ice cream. The lady who served us was so laid back and nice. She even allowed to to swap out an ingredient from one of the menu items that wasnt supposed to be changed. I think it was a a sundae that was supposed to have nuts and caramel but she let me switch it to fudge and skor bits even tho I should have just ordered a custom order. I think it saved me 3.50. which was great considering their prices are kind of high. I do have to say, the portions are insanely huge and clearly worth the money. They are not stingy with their icecream whether you get it in a cone or a bowl. I opted for a tyke size instead of a small and it was still alot. I will definitely be going...
