Imagine this: the very spot used to be a Mexican eatery, a sister location to Los Lobos. But what the owner of MORI has achieved through their renovation efforts is nothing short of remarkable. The transformation is jaw-dropping and in the best way possible. Kudos to the ownerâs vision and execution! đ
Walking in, I was immediately transported to Japan. The ambience is a true testament to authenticity, with every corner adorned by decorations and dishware sourced all the way from Japan. The atmosphere is beautifully unique, an ode to Japanese culture that adds an extra layer of delight to the dining experience.
Now, letâs talk about the food â oh my taste buds, where do I even begin? Just like at Roll Roll, the culinary experience here is exceptional. The sashimi combo, a masterpiece on a plate, is an absolute must-try. The artful arrangement and melt-in-your-mouth freshness left me in awe. And letâs not forget the tuna tartare â a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate.
Pairing my meal with MORIâs strawberry cocktail and Highball was a stroke of genius. The fruity notes perfectly complemented the deep-fried skewers combo #3, creating a harmonious explosion of taste. đ And oh, the Yaki Udon with seafood â itâs not an exaggeration to say itâs the best Iâve had in London. The balance of seafood, the impeccable sauce, and the expertly cooked udon noodles made every bite an experience to savor.
Beyond the incredible food and ambience, what truly shines through is the ownerâs passion and love for MORI. Every detail, every aspect of the restaurant reflects their dedication. Itâs evident that this place is a labor of love, and Iâm here for it!...
Read moreA new âishâ addition to our neighborhood occupying the space which last hosted Poco Lobo (another great spot we miss). We had been meaning to visit for a few months now and when we noticed they had a Londonlicious offer we decided to give it go for our anniversary dinner. I could say in a word âexcellentâ and end there, however I will briefly summarize why we were so impressed; the value of their special menu is a great offering and especially at a time where people are looking for a better value. The special menu has a great mix of elements in either a vegetarian or a meat selection and with a starter, main, dessert and alcoholic drink for as low as $30 you canât go wrong. This is an attractive offering to introduce you to how great their food is and it delivers on all fronts: taste, presentation, service and ambienceâŠ. exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff and a warm inviting decor. They are not cutting corners on the menu, and they are trying hard to earn your patronage. Definitely reserve a spot, and consider a lunch visit as it may be less busy (though once the word gets out maybe not). We will definitely recommend to friends and will...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to go in London đ„°. From my first visit to now being there almost 5 times since they opened I can honestly say every time was a great experience with amazing kind staff, along with delicious food!
The owners are so incredibly kind & caring - after talking with them both during my first visit and telling them how excited myself & my boyfriend were to be there - after just getting back from Japan ourselves - we felt as though we were back in Japan with their attention to detail on both the interior & exterior, giving it that true Japanese feel (Ive attached a photo straight from Japan for peoples reference of course!!) - along with Japanese cuisine & drinks being spot on.
Drinks are always also SO good. Can't go wrong with any of them, the food is always hot and delicious (I particularly love the Gyoza & the beef Yaki Udon) - both made perfectly & everything is well priced.
Overall a lovely experience.Thank you again to the MORI team - looking forward to returning very...
