Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Ontario

Osmow's is delicious. I have been to this location in particular numerous times and have at worst had a good dish. The rice dishes are very flavourful and varying in spices, and the fry dishes are great. I regularly order a beef shawarma poutine and am always impressed with how good it tastes. Osmow's fries, while not being the main dishes advertised on his menu, are better than a majority of the fries offered at local fry trucks or fry-oriented locales. They are very crispy and firm.

Another thing Osmow does well is his spices. I'm a white guy, so I can't handle spicy foods very well, but there is a variety of spice levels to give an extra kick to your dishes. The biggest thing, however, is the sauce that Osmow uses on his dishes. I could not tell exactly what it is, perhaps a blend of mayonnaise and garlic, but Osmow's serves a white sauce on most of the meat and rice dishes, and it always enhances the dish tenfold. I'd love to know how they make that sauce, because it completes any dish you throw it on.

The worst customer service I’ve experienced at any Osmow’s location in London, Ontario was at the Argyle Mall branch. I visited on Canada Day (July 1, 2025), around 6–7 PM, and was extremely disappointed by the behavior of one of the staff members working at the time — a slimmer female employee, one of two women on shift.

As soon as we walked in and approached the counter, she gave us a cold, impatient look, standing with her arms crossed, as if we were taking too long to order. Her body language made us feel unwelcome. After taking our order and processing the payment, she immediately started chatting with her coworker in what seemed to be an Indian language. The timing and tone gave us the uncomfortable impression that they were talking about us.

It felt like she didn’t want to be there and was more interested in chatting than helping customers. This interaction left a really negative impression, and I hope that management or the franchise owner takes this seriously and addresses the issue with proper customer service training.

This was by far the worst service I’ve had at Osmow’s, and I hope future customers are treated with more professionalism...

I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience at Osmow’s Shawarma. I specifically ordered a falafel wrap (I am vegetarian) and even left special instructions, yet I was given a chicken wrap instead. This is not just careless, it’s completely unacceptable. I picked up my order around 11:15 PM, and the staff member who prepared it was more focused on her phone and blasting music than paying attention to my order. When I got home after midnight and opened the wrap, I immediately noticed a strong odor and discovered it was chicken. By this time, the restaurant was already closed at 12:00 AM, leaving me with no option to go back and fix their mistake. Now not only am I left without dinner, but I also had an experience that was completely disrespectful to my dietary choice. I expect a full refund and hope management takes this seriously.
