I think I quite possibly just had the most delicious sandwich of my life… I had The Thanksgiving and it was so freakin’ good and the watermelon mint feta salad was also super yummy.
The staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere has a cool clean aesthetic with relaxing music playing in the background to lend a bit of lunchtime calm to an otherwise hectic day!
I hope this restaurant is super successful and will be a long-lasting addition to Drouillard St/ Ford City!
UPDATE EDIT: Since my first review I’ve been back a number of times and tried a few of the other sandwiches, all of which have been very good!
The amazing bread they use for their sandwiches is made fresh daily, in-house. It’s crisp on the outside and soft, with the perfect “chew” on the inside! The bread holds up very well for next day lunch leftovers if you only eat half the sandwich, which is very possible given the generous size of the sandwiches.
I have tried all of the following sandwiches:
THANKSGIVING - Turkey breast, crispy pancetta, tomato, arugula, and cranberry mayo REVIEW: 10/10 - the sandwich that started my love for this place! Thus far, my favourite meat option. The bread…a-ma-zing and the ingredients very fresh & tasty. I love the cranberry mayo!
CAPRESE (Veg) - the classic-temato, bocconcini cheese, basil pesto & balsamic glaze. REVIEW: 10/10 possibly my favourite as I prefer to eat vegetarian as much as possible. While the ingredients are limited, they’re so fresh which makes this simple sandwich so fresh & delicious.
SICILIAN (Veg) -tomato, marinated eggplant, roasted red peppers, bocconcini, balsamic glaze, roasted garlic parmesan asiage ricotta crema. REVIEW: 8/10 because I do prefer vegetarian I opted to give this a try. At first, while it was tasty, I was a little disappointed with how difficult & messy it was to eat. It was a little soggy & my bottom bread fell apart making it difficult to hold/eat. I put one half of the sandwich away to eat later on that day and, oddly enough, the second half wasn’t soggy at all and was much more enjoyable than the first half. I believe it was, perhaps, due to more of the marinade from the marinated eggplant being in the first half of the sandwich making it soggy & messy.
THE BEEFY - slow roasted beef, sauteed onions & peppers, black peppercorn whisky crema REVIEW: 8.5/10...
Read moreThe first time I ordered it was great. The second time I ordered it was horrible. The fish was so overcooked it was mostly crunchy breading. I asked for extra lemon they sent lemon slices that you could not squeeze the juice from. I asked for them to extra cook the wings which they did not so to me that were chewy and slimy. The first time they forgot carrots and celery so they sent it this time with no dip. The onion rings were crunchy this time but on the edge of being burnt. I told everyone about this place after my first order, but after this order I would not recommend it to my...
