6/5 stars!! My fiancée and I got together based on Wisers, and though this place is about a 5 hour drive, I wanted to take him. It was something he thought was interesting and we were already driving 2.5-3hrs to see family. It was a little difficult to find the right building, but we ended up in the right place just in time. The hostess and tour guide were very educated, very confident in their speech, and fun. It was really educational and a lot of fun! Small group, which was nice. After the tasting (yum!) we were allowed to go behind the bar to take a couple of photos, and the hostess urged us to try to share our story and perhaps they could host our wedding. She was very excited and wanted to further Weisers impact on our relationship. It was a lovely time. Also, we booked tickets only a week in advance and I wanted to but a special engraved bottle for my beloved. The site explicitly states that 2 weeks are needed to process and complete the order. I called and asked if there was any way to have it done in 1 week, and I was assured that he would write a note on my order to rush it, no extra charge. Very thankful!! We definitely want to...
Read moreHad a wonderful time at the Hiram Walker Experience Centre. There is a small gift shop and historical displays to browse as you wait for the tour to begin. The tour itself was interesting as guests are treated to a peek at the fermentation vats where the mash is stored. I was hoping that the tour would give us a glimpse into the bottling area, but it did not. If you're expecting the old tour where you're treated to Hiram Walker's office and the basement area where meetings took place during Prohibition, then you will be disappointed as the historical building is not on this tour. Nevertheless, the taste testing was lots of fun and educational too. A shout out to the tour guide, Mitchell, whose enthusiasm was contagious. A beautiful bar and a lovely view of the river make this tour a "must-do" for residents and visitors alike....
Read moreToo bad it's run by fools and thieves. Get your contract in writing. Bring it with you every time you go. Read it out loud to them. If you get in writing 'access to garden from 4:30-5:30" that is your time. Manager allowed wedding before ours to stay out til 5, told us our contact said "may or may not have access to gardens". So did the other people. Favoritism? We paid the same. We were told we could stay til 5:50 if we wanted at the time of the tour but on top of the other bull we were forced to leave at 5:30. Bull. Total bull. Unfortunately it's a very nice grounds to photo on and you have to put up with bull from a wanna...
