Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ontario

Oh my God! I've been waiting for this invitation to post because I am SO EXCITED to share my experience. Let me put this in perspective. A very large McChain recently started selling a Crispy Chicken sandwich. The ads looked compelling and I love chicken so I thought I'd try it. It was OK but it looked NOTHING like the poster. Flat, thin, dark brown patty looked unappetizing. I asked whether it always looked that way and got my answer when I bought another (virtually identical) sandwich a week later. Today I wanted to try the relatively new Church's chicken right across the street from Popeyes. The line was long and there were no empty tables so I went to Popeyes instead. Normally I order a 3 or 4 piece dinner but the photo of their Chicken Sandwich Classic looked delicious (you'd think I'd learn not to trust poster photos). Well, I got the sandwich and it was HUGH and looked EXACTLY LIKE THE POSTER. And it was simply delicious!!! I've been a fan of Chick-fil-A since they came to Windsor and will probably continue to go there, but this Popeye's sandwich is hands down the best fast food chicken sandwich I've ever tasted. Serious warning to avoid this location. I've eaten there a few times a week for the last few months. Today I went in and ordered the "sunday special" of two chicken mini sandwiches. Upon receiving the food, I noticed immediately the sandwiches looked different.

After removing the bun, I observed that there were only two popcorn-sized pieces of breading in the center of the bun and I could see about 3/4 of the bottom of the bun they were so small. I was truly shocked that someone would have the gall to try to serve basically a bun with mayo.

When I went to the counter to voice the issue, the girl at the front argued repeatedly the sandwiches "always come like that" despite the fact I always come on sunday for the mini combo and have never received anything approximating what I received today. It was the fact she claimed it was normal that was so disturbing. Literally two pieces of shrimp sized chicken breading sitting in a middle of a bun with 3/4 of the bun showing. What else are they willing to do if they'll be so brazen?

I have to assume they had completely run out of chicken for the minis and basically took some broken small tender pieces as a substitute, thinking they could pass it by. ...

I thought i would treat myself and kids which are 18 ,33 & 34 years old..to Popeyes .. now for all the talk about this place a how good blah , blah blah.. well I will tell you we were all very disappointed.. we will never return.. the staff especially the older women working the cash register was so rude i couldn't believe her,, always rolling her eyes in disgust!.. she was very ignorant to people infront of us and then had a very ignorant attitude to myself and kids.. we took our food to go and im glad because i couldn't believe that only was this woman ignorant but she was approximately my age (50) and treating customers so disrespectful and rude.. the food was very disappointing...and pricey for some under cooked chicken & shrimp,, and some bad dried out.we asked about the fish.. and she almost yelled at us telling us they didnt have any..omg!!!!. i dont know if it was just a bad day or what but i know none of us liked it all .. and my kids are not at all picky !!!... Very bad service, Ignorant woman Cashier;; food chicken & shimp .dessert was good...lol.. Will never return,, very bad...
