Sammy's Souvlaki — Restaurant in Ontario

$10 bucks for one chuck wagon souvlaki or Gyros. It doesn't even fill you. That doesn't even include fries or the salad. If you want the meal, you get a small portion of mushy fries and a tiny little soaking wet Greek salad for $20. Gravy is extra for the fries. You barely get any feta or olives on salad. It's a very small portion meal. It's way to expensive for a soggy pita with few slivers of meat and some runny tomato's wrapped up in tissue paper and tin foil.. Sammy is getting to high and mighty with his price's. No wonder all his other locations closed . I could understand these prices in a sit down restaurant with big overhead but not at a roadside chuck...

First, let me start with the good... good portion, good service and the tzatziki is nice.

However, I’m disappointed at the chicken souvlaki. The chicken was already pre cooked and then it was warmed on the flat top, to fully dry out the meat. I’m sure the owner knows that this is no good. If you can’t wait 10 minutes for a fresh piece of chicken souvlaki to be properly GRILLED, then you should go and have fast food. Chicken Souvlaki is NOT fast food. Even the fries were dry and old. Maybe we came at a bad time, I don’t know. We came on a Saturday night, usually a good time to grab food.

I was really disappointed with my recent experience here. I ordered a wrap and later noticed I was charged $2.50 extra for sauce—something that was never mentioned upfront. It felt sneaky, especially since it wasn’t listed clearly on the menu or communicated when ordering.

To make matters worse, after checking my receipt and doing the math, I realized I was overcharged beyond just the hidden sauce fee. It’s frustrating when you trust a place with your order and then find unexpected charges after the fact.
