I was very disappointed with my experience today as my family and I love their food and especially their homemade soups and taits special subs. Today I walked in to grab some lunch and support a small business. I respected the masking policy and masked up. As I walked up to the counter I said “Good afternoon how are you?” No response. I started to place my order and the lady cut me off and said pull your mask over your nose please. I manoeuvred my mask so it would cover my nose more and she said it has to completely cover your nose. Meanwhile I see 4-5 people sitting down with no masks eating. My mask covered my mouth and just over my nostrils. I am not sick. I have trouble breathing when my air is constricted and I have a prescription puffer that I take. It's these types of small (but IMPORTANT) attention to details that make this independent family owned Canadian bakery WAY BETTER than Subway. Sure, Subway has avocado (sometimes). I've spoken to Tait's owner, Perry, about this many times. He says that's fine. He's not against avocados PER SE. And he's given me his blessing to go to Subway whenever I feel the need to taste avocados on a sandwich (which honestly isn't all that often when you actually do the math). See - Tait's is cool with you trying other places (once in a while). I've never seen Subway advertise that it's ok to eat at McDonalds!!! So - OVERALL I'd say Tait's beats...
