I have seen this place several times when I walked by, and from afar, but have never actually been to it. A friend of mine had also discovered this and decided to go in for coffee, so after that I ventured in for lunch. It was the best decision I made that day.
The ambiance of this place was filled with the feeling you were in a busier city, but you're not. I was greeted right away, and I knew what sandwich I wanted, and was given a choice on what toppings I could choose as well as the soups they have fresh made daily and types they had for that day.
For lunch, I ordered The New Yorker, which was smoked salmon and cream cheese. I had it on a toasted whole wheat bagel, with their dill and cucumber cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumber and sprouts (you know it's a good lunch deli when they have sprouts!), It was absolutely delicious and the smoked salmon was so flavourful. Pandemic precautions in place and being observed we had no problem escaping the craziness of the world for a relaxing lunch whilst feeling safe and sated. Highly recommend supporting this 2+ decades of “deli delights” in the...

Corned Beef
A succulent tower of paper-thin slivers of moist corned meat, perched on sliced seeded rye.
I was disappointed when i got it. Restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly.
I ordered the large: The corned beef came out of a tub that was kept in the fridge, put on a scale and then warmed up on a flat top. Not what i was expecting from a "deli".
The rye bread was good, but the sandwich was far from a "succulent tower" as i hoped to get.
I would be trying a different deli instead of...
