Tokyo Sushi — Restaurant in Ontario

Reliable quality food, miso soup is quite exceptional. Service is professorship and the cleanliness of the restaurant is never in question. I've cooked and cleaned in restaurants and this is one I bring my family to eat at. Currently dining room is closed and take out our delivery options only available. For had not suffered for this. When I enquired about dining in and the temporary gateway at the doors I was told they do not have enough staff to manage a full dinner in experience at this time and they are managing best they can. So if there's a slight delay in the meal prep (I've never had issues but imagine they can get busy at dinner rush) just cut them some slack folks. It's great food, consistent high quality and I hope that this local family business recovers from the pandemic closures and the financial stresses of the aftermath. When I'm in town it's a healthy alternative to fast food. I genuinely enjoy eating here, even if it's sitting in the parking lot in my truck. 😉 In fact I was placing my order when a customer came for pickup and on the way out of the door I heard her exclaim "Heck yeah!" as she checked her order. Genuine exuberance can't be beat by any review. Just eat here, it's good.

I can't comment much on the food since over half of what I ordered never showed up to the table. The waitstaff is terrible. You're required to write down your own order on a piece of paper and it was not busy by any standards and they still had trouble doing their job. I wasn't the only one at the table who didn't get their food either. 3 wonton soups were missing. And instead of just apologizing and grabbig the soup they tried telling us we didn't order it. It's all you can eat... Why argue with the customers about soups? I ordered a dish without sauce but it arrived with sauce on it and when I said something about it, they took it and brought it back drenched still with sauce. So they attempted to wash it off and give it back... And weren't even capable of washing it off properly. I was polite the whole time but it got me no where. This is the 2nd worst sushi place I have ever eaten at. Only beating a sad All you can eat joint in Saskatoon which used canned tuna in their rolls. I have been ordering from this place for years, have always loved it until about a year ago when I started noticing the quality and the freshness of the food getting worse. Yesterday I decided to give them another go and got takeout which mainly included vegetable rolls and one philedalphia roll which contains salmon. When I got it the salmon was rubbery and warm, like it had been sitting out for days, and all of the vegetables the same. Warm, droopy and just not fresh. I had spent about 30 dollars on this meal for me and my boyfriend and when I called to ask them what they could do, the lady did not apologize once but instead offered me a 4.50 coffee of my next order. I said I wanted my money back, or at least something because the food was gross. But 4.50 off of my next order.. that I will never be using.
