Wendy’s Kingston: Where the Burger Gods Gather and Sarah Reigns Supreme!
If I could give this Wendy’s location six stars, I would — but Google cruelly caps me at five, probably because they’ve never eaten here.
My daughter and I rolled into the Wendy’s in Kingston for dinner, expecting the usual fast-food affair — you know, a square patty, some fries, and a quiet existential crisis over a Frosty. But OH NO, Wendy’s Kingston said, “Hold my Baconator.”
First off, SARAH. Remember that name. This woman isn’t just a server — she’s the Beyoncé of burgers, the Picasso of drive-thru hospitality, the Gordon Ramsay of “Have a nice day!” She greeted us with more enthusiasm than a kid opening a Happy Meal — except that’s McDonald’s, and frankly, Ronald should take notes. Sarah didn’t just take our order, she curated an experience. I half expected her to roll out a red carpet and announce, “Tonight, you dine like the royalty of value meals!”
The food? Let me tell you, Wendy’s came to play. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich had more kick than a Starbucks line at 8 a.m. The fries were so perfectly crispy, they made Burger King’s limp little sticks weep in shame. And the Baconator? Oh honey — if a Big Mac is a polite handshake, the Baconator is a full-contact, bear-hugging, chest-bumping friendship explosion. I took one bite and could practically hear the arches at McDonald’s collapse in defeat.
Meanwhile, across town, I imagine a lonely A&W root bear sitting in a corner, wondering why nobody’s calling. Spoiler: because Sarah’s over here slinging Frostys like frozen joy in a cup, and no one’s got time for a mopey bear when there’s chocolate happiness on deck.
Sarah even checked on us after delivering the food — at a FAST FOOD place! That’s like finding filet mignon at a gas station. My daughter and I were so full and happy, we almost tipped her, but realized Wendy’s doesn’t even do tips — because Wendy’s knows the real tip is: come here, and not to that soggy sad clown palace down the street.
Wendy’s Kingston, you have my heart. Sarah, you have my undying admiration. And McD’s, BK, A&W? You better step it up — because Sarah’s got a headset, a Frosty machine, and zero mercy.
We’ll be back. Probably...
Read moreAs a trucker some days fast food is all I got. So as I nervously make my way before closing. While I close the distance to the front door i came to a massive surprise when I see an employee locking the door. I bow my head in disappointment as I feel I wasted so much time trying to make my way to a delicious junior bacon cheeseburger. I pull my phone out to figure out what to do next for a meal, to notice it’s 8:50. Ten minutes to dine in closing. For obvious reasons I can’t walk through the drive thru. And for other reasons I can’t drive my 30 foot truck through the drive thru either. Any other time I would have just let it go and accepted the loss. But as I sit there for a split second looking through the window at the two customers that seemed to just start their meal at a table, I asked myself “I wish I could lock up early” Clearly doesn’t matter to such a big franchise but this has happened at this facility more than 3 times now and moving forward Wendy’s has lost my business. I hope others get a better experience than...
Read moreThe entire experience was abysmal from the moment we walked in. It took a few minutes to order because the cashier and the manager were too busy talking about something. When we did finally get to order, it seemed like an inconvenience more than anything else. Received our cup to get a drink, and the drink machines at Wendy's are always a challenge, but this one was particularly difficult to use and took forever. Oh, and it wouldn't produce any ice for the drink. Ketchup dispenser wasn't in service but luckily we got the last 2 packages that were put out. Then it was trying to find a table that was clean (we didn't find one) but I understand. After all, the 14 people working in the back were again too busy charting to actually put any effort into too much other work, like cooking, serving and cleaning. All in all, at least the food was adequate, but not enough to ever drag us back here again. Word of advice; just bowl it down and start from scratch, or hire someone that actually knows what...
