It had been a while since my daughter and I had been to whimpys in belleville so she decided to treat me to a valentines dinner. We arrived and the server Fahad seemed supper eager to get everything going and was very impatient. We ordered our drinks super quickly because he didnt seem to want to give us a chance to even look. Then after getting us our drinks he asked if we were ready to order and we said not yet shortly after that he came back and asked again and once again we said we weren't ready. The next time he came back we were finally ready to order, I got the jr. Whimpys burger with philly cheese toppings, my daughter ordered a jr. Hamburger with the works except onions along with a fry and a poutine. The fries and poutine came out pretty quickly and were pretty enjoyable aside from the gravy being lukewarm. Then our hamburgers came out. We finished our fries and went to eat our hamburgers and then my daughter noticed there was an abnormal amount of onions on a hamburger that was supposed to have none. It took us quite some time to get Fahads attention to try and get this fixed even though the restaurant wasn't that busy for being valentines day. When he came over he was quick to try and make a fix for it but the fix he came up with was very disappointing. He just switched the top bun and put fresh toppings on it but by this time the hamburger itself was cold so we complained about it and he wanted to zap it in a microwave. We were displeased with this offer and asked for a fresh one at the point he sound reluctant to do so but did and made a nasty face along with it. By this point my daughter was so disgusted at how greases it was that she didnt even want to eat it. We got our receipt and we were let down at the fact we were charged full price for the disgusting meal...
Read moreOverall was not impressed with our experience at Wimpy's this past weekend. We decided to try Wimpy's for breakfast because we had a birthday group of 9. Upon arrival we all noticed how hot it was in the restaurant. I will admit, its a tough time of year with the temperature fluctuations but customer comfort should be your #1 priority. I said multiple times "lets just eat and get out of here to cool off".
The restaurant was maybe 40% full at the time we arrived, we were served our breakfast over 1 hour after arriving which I thought was crazy long for breakfast - I am sure but I think everyone's kids would have trouble waiting that long for their meals.
As we continued to wait, a gentleman at the table next to us flagged down a waitress to let them know his hashbrowns were still frozen. At this point after waiting so long for the food in that heat, I thought to myself - maybe we should just leave because I know what is coming next. Sure enough, they brought my daughters food out first and her hashbrowns were extremely cold. After someone else had JUST COMPLAINED ABOUT IT - You would think that would be a quality check but apparently not.
Long story short people always say to "support local" and "support our restaurants" but the sad reality is that food quality & customer service consistently goes down while the prices continue to rise. Not typically the recipe for success in my eyes...
Read moreHaven’t been to a Wimpy's in a long time. We’re on a short vacation and decided to go to Wimpy's. We asked for chocolate chips on both kid's meals. When the first meal came out there was no visible chocolate chips, we were insured they're in the middle and you can taste them. Second meal came out and the chocolate chips where clearly visible. We separated the one pancake into fours to make sure there was no chocolate chips which there wasn’t. They took it back to correct the issue. They took the cut pancake and put it back together on the plate with chocolate chips on top and placed the untouched pancake overtop of it and heated it up and gave it back to us 😂😂😂😂 THEN charged us $1.99 PER PANCAKE for the chocolate chips! Each kid's meal comes with 2 pancakes so we had a $4 charge for chocolate chips! $8.00 for chocolate chips and they wanted to give us a handful of chocolate chips in the middle of two pancakes! Charging us $8.00 and you couldn’t even be bothered to remake the pancakes. 🤦🏻♀️ I ordered a waffle, the waitress said it takes a while, everyone was almost done eating by the time the waffle came. If the waffle takes the longest, why not start it and time the rest of the food accordingly?
