I wanted to say what a delight Windsor Palace restaurant is at both locations in Windsor. I am a long time customer and my family enjoys amazing Iraqi home-cooked meals. I also would like to say that the family who’s owns it, is very pleasant and enjoy making every family happy with wholesome down to earth real cooking. I order from them very often sometimes too often but my family and I enjoy clean cooking. The service is amazing n I trust them to the point where I send my clients to try their food. Never have I had a problem with the service or with their food or their staff. Their staff takes the time to explain what’s on the menu and what they are getting. It’s really sad that I was reading the comments from ppl especially from my own culture make comments about their quality of food or quantity of food. It clearly states what is on the menu and how much there is. I am a family of 6 and I usually order more rice to make sure I have enough of food for my kids. If I could rate the service and quality of their food. I would say 10 out of 10 but they’re only allowing me to give a five star. As an Iraqi, we need to build our ppl n help them succeed, but instead we choose to trash talk them. As well I know how the manager handled the incident that happened a day ago because I was at the restaurant picking up an order for my family, he was polite and pleasant with the lady, and he offered to take care of her when she came back to Windsor. As a business owner, he handled it perfectly and professionally. Will be back again. Thanks Windsor Palace for many years of great food n service.

Visited Windsor for work and ended up here as a suggestion as most middle eastern restaurants seem to not be open or serving anyone on Sundays, ridiculous. So these guys thankfully were open however maybe wouldn’t be my first choice, the staff and service were great. Portions are good, just lacking quality. A bit upsetting to see a vegetable oil on hummus, that’s a staple item - meant to showcase any restaurants level of skill. Maybe it was a bad day? No idea, but the food itself wasn’t terrible, just missed the mark for me. They did come out with 2 lentil soups and this was 2 mixed grill platters combined. Plus falafel on the side by the pieces and a small tabouli and hummus, came to around $90 I think. Again it’s not terrible but it’s not amazing, I’m going to say it was an off day for them - the kabobs were just too dry and greasy plus hummus was a bit runny. Just little things that make a big difference. There were at least 3 other families dining in and people were ordering out so there’s definitely a reputation but we didn’t get greeted with that quality unfortunately. Would I go back? Not sure. Thanks to the lovely staff for checking on us. We felt bad to say anything to them, they were so sweet. Parking is available on the street out front.

So Windsor definitely houses the best Mediterranean food and Windsor Palace is definitely one of them. The Baba Ganooj and platters were one of a kind. I love Mediterranean for its simplicity and delicious texture of the meat. Baba Ganooj is grilled eggplant crushed with spices, garlic, oil and tahini. It’s charred to the level of perfection and is great for any vegan, vegetarian or just anyone who loves something different. We were surprised with the Falafel platter, didn’t quite expect vegetarian to be Bomb! Definitely a keeper and to try once back.

Okay, I’m not a person who usually leaves reviews but this one is a MOST. Windsor Palace is a restaurant that is very pleasant and I usually dine in once a year. This year, is probably the worst year I’ve dined in. First off, I wanna note that I used to go to the one on Wyandotte but realized this one is closer to me. I started going here but this is worse then the one on Wyandotte but I bet they’re both bad now since they’re probably owned by the same people. I went with family like I usually do and got seated, the waitresses were okay, but it looked like they didnt give a crap about me. There was one waitress that was nice and smiling but the other two looked like they were only there for a paycheque. Service was really bad because it took 2 Hours just to get my food when the restaurant didn’t even have 3 tables barely. Keep in mind I was not in a big family, I was only there with a family of 4. Then when I asked for when I was getting the food they told me it was just coming out but it never did, it took 20-30 minutes after they said that. I was almost ready to leave. Now the worst part wasn’t the service, it was the food, the food was just straight bad, small, and overpriced. The food used to be better, I don’t know what happened back there, and the garlic sauce also somehow got worse. Then the portion sizes were reduced to rubble and now even the price up +$6. This is ridiculous, and good luck finding me anywhere near this establishment again. Now the owner will probably respond to this review in a negative way, not willing to own up to anything, good thing I came to this establishment a couple months ago and never will come...
