A Wonderful Experience: I visited Ayam Zaman Restaurant in Windsor and had an incredibly enjoyable experience. The food is delicious and prepared excellently, making you feel like you are eating from its authenticity and heritage. Appetizers: The appetizers were the star of the meal and a story in themselves, offering a variety of dishes that I really enjoyed. Each dish had a distinctive flavor and beautiful presentation. Soup: The soup was a meal on its own, being warm and rich in flavors, which added a comforting touch to the meal. Main Courses: The foods were authentic, showcasing the chefs' mastery in preparing traditional dishes. I had a rich meal that was indeed the tastiest food I have ever had in my life. Cleanliness: It is very important to point out that cleanliness is essential in this restaurant. There was no foul smell, reflecting the restaurant’s attention to detail and its commitment to providing a healthy and comfortable environment. Atmosphere: The place is cozy and reflects a warm character, making the dining experience more enjoyable. Service: The staff were friendly and quick in serving the orders, which contributed to enhancing the overall experience. If you are looking for a unique dining experience in Windsor, then Days of Old Restaurant is a great choice. I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant to enjoy its delicious dishes! Literallyyyy loveddd it oh my goddd!! The food was insanely good! We ordered the full chicken with rice and I’ve actually never tasted such tender and flavorful chicken! And oh my the rice was just it! The blend of flavors and the way they just melt once you put them into your mouth! The fattoush was also so insanely delicious! I swear this restaurant has mastered the blend of flavors because when I say the food here astonished me, I mean it! I’ve also really got to mention the beautiful interior design. So comfortable and cozy! Not to mention the originality of the pictures hung on the walls. The owner described to us the history of them explaining how they come from Palestine and Iraq, some of them even containing family members! And lastly, I’ve also obviously got to mention the hygiene, which was excellent. Everything is nicely clean, especially the bathrooms. Totally recommend coming here! This is an incredible Iraqi restaurant. The atmosphere is very cozy and seems like you’re back in time. Lama - the owner served us and was very friendly and welcoming.

For appetisers, we ordered the Hummus and 4 piece Kibbeh. Both tasted very good. However, considering the high prices of the menu items, I was expecting home made fresh warm bread served with the hummus but instead was given just few pieces of cold pita bread. We were also served fresh lentil soup (complimentary) which was just perfect especially since the weather is cold outside.

For mains, we ordered Quzi - a traditional Iraqi lamb and rice dish. The rice was soft and fluffy and the meat was cooked to perfection! It was soft and just melts in your mouth. Quzi comes with a side of gravy as well which wasn’t too bad.

For the service, it was great. Though slightly slow but considering it is a family run business, it’s understandable. Prices are definitely high but worth it.
