Wing House — Restaurant in Ontario

Usually I would not make a review however last night was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant in my life. Husband and I got there and were seated right away. Server didn’t come for a while and when he did he was told to by another customer. He took our orders (which is the exact same every time we go) Bout 10-15 minutes later the food comes out and my husband’s wings did not look right, I went to say something to the server but he had already ran off. Took another 5 minutes for him to acknowledge us as we tried waving him down. When he finally came over I explained to him that these are not Cornwall girl wings, he then proceeded to argue with us that we did not order those and we ordered Cornwall boys. I explained to him my husband is a picky eater, he always orders the same exact wings. He kept trying to argue with us and even laughed at us as we told him it was the wrong ones. He finally takes the plate and says he’ll back with the right ones. Few moments later a waitress named Sam came over and apologized for him giving the wrong wings. (Sam is also one of the most amazing waitresses there, always an amazing time when we have her as waitress) I explained to her it wouldn’t have been an issue if he apologized for writing down the wrong ones and getting us the right ones, but the fact he argued and laughed was unacceptable and very unprofessional. She apologized again and said it he never should have reacted that way(which is true!) At that point we weren’t even in the mood to eat there anymore so we asked her to have the meals to go. She apologized again and got our food ready to leave and brought us over our bill (with a discount for the inconvenience) Sam who wasn’t suppose to be waitressing in that section got our receipt and helped 2 other tables that this other waiter was suppose to be attending to but he was no where to be found. After we paid and got our food we proceeded to leave where then the original rude waiter came out trying to run after my husband but he ignored him (for good reason) then stands directly in front of me and gives me attitude asking if I’ve even paid my bill. I look straight at him and said this nice and loud for the others to hear (obvious I did, that lovely girl over there Sam helped us as you went mia) then I walked out. Worst experience ever at this restaurant. And that’s the second time with that waiter who gave us a bad experience. He definitely needs more training or should not be working there. And to make it even better, we got home to eat our wings, and come to find out the kitchen didn’t remake the wings correctly. Instead they cleaned them off partially and re-sauced them! You could see the garnishes still on the wings, tried to hide them under the other wings. Absolutely ridiculous.

*of course I have to edit my post, wings were NOT remade. If they were my husbands mouth wouldn’t have been on fire from eating the supposed...

Party of seven seated at 5:15. We all ordered appetizers and drinks. They came quick enough. They had another section up the stairs that wasn’t even open, therefore they were not overwhelmingly busy. Getting refills was difficult, long wait. Placed our main orders, Two couples orders the lovers meal which came with fries, salad and 3 lb wings. The others ordered wraps, sandwich and lastly an individual wing meal. Us lovers received our fries and salads, no wings. The other three got all of there food shortly after including the individual wing order. An hour later our wings still hadn’t come but we watched as everyone around us (some came in after us) received their wings. When we brought this to our servers attention she went to the kitchen to check in the situation. She came back remorseful and had no explanation as to how this happened, but she promised to remove the charge for the wings from our bill. We saw the manager berating her over in the corner after that. Upon receiving our bills we had only received a 15% discount. Keep in mind once the mistake was recognized we still had to wait another half hour for the wings to be cooked, therefore we had them packed up to go. We never did get to eat them there. Asked to speak to the manager as we thought we were due more than just a 15% discount and he gave us a story about how his system wouldn’t allow him to discount any higher then 15%. Even removing one of our appetizers would have been more. Not even an apology from him instead he explained to us that we were warned about the long wait upon arrival. Apparently it’s posted on a piece of paper near the entrance which exonerates them from any wrong doing. I feel in part the waitress was responsible as she should have kept an eye on our table and know we didn’t get our order. In part the kitchen as they only put out part of our order but mostly the manager for no customer skills or trying to ensure return business. If I even do much as heard a sorry from him I may have attempted another visit at a later date when they were...

Tonight we decided to try out the wing house( the old rangatangs bar) Seeing mixed reviews about it, we decided to go for it and check it out for ourselves. We were not disappointed one bit! As we walked in we were hit with photos of cornwall, old cornwall which are absolutely beautiful!, what a nice touch! We then went into the restaurant and were greated with the bright smilling faces of the waitresses, hostess and runners. The restaurant walls were covered with sport teams, mini sticks, signs, basketballs and hoops and anything you can think of ( they put ALOT of thought into decorations!) And plenty of tvs for your added entertainment. (I personally wasnt looking at them but was looking at all the decor! ) We were seated very quickly and recieved our drink quickly also! We ordered dill sticks( deep fried pickles) very typical pickles but were crunchy and hot! Not too hot just perfect! We ordered the lover deal which is 3 pounds of wings (two flavors) , fries( frozen but very good and crunchy), garden salad and 2 dipping sauces. Boyfriend and I decided on getting the messy sweet heart ( good amount of heat and super saucy) and sweet nelly( super super spicy and took 3 wings to get the kick) . Friends got the same lovers deal and got the spicy thai ( spicy which hit you right away but didnt stay) and the maple teriyaki( the flavors of teriyaki and maple complimented each other but pairing the beer ( budweiser) made it made it more amazing.

Let me tell you guys we left there happy and full and took some wings home for tomorrow.( or tonight🤔) these guys hit it out of the park with this new restaurant. We really hope it stays in Cornwall. We definitely need a good restaurant like this to stay!
