Read moreIt’s obvious from responses to reviews from management below that management has crafted a response to try to justify the behaviour of their staff. Is this the right thing to do? No, read below. We booked the party room as indicated. The staff overseeing the party room unfortunately represented their place of employment badly. In fact, they went as far as accusations that were unwarranted and frankly - completely false. Our group spent a lot of money there on food (which we had to because of the contract), and did so willingly so we could have a nice space to relax and enjoy with our families. But as the evening began to unwind, it became apparent the staff were unprofessional and clearly not trained well enough in the hospitality sector to work with large groups, communicate and were unable to hold themselves to a basic standard in service. This is unfortunate for the Best Western brand because it really casts a large shadow over your operation. To the management - you were not there that evening, have not yet spoken to any members of our group but have quickly crafted a response to defend your staff when ultimately you should be reaching out to discuss the incidents. Would this be the right thing to do? Yes. That is what good customer service is - what the basic standard of hospitality is. Jumping to conclusions and crafting a snark response below shows potential customers the lack of professionalism you have. It looks like the manager named below crafted the response, embarrassing for your brand. Read moreHands down, the BEST hotel experience I've had. Everything from the easy check-in; the room; the amenities; and the food!
We got a standard queen room with a fireplace. It was SO beautiful with lots of charm; and SPACIOUS. Very clean (I didn't see a single spec of dirt or dust. Seriously).
The kitchenette (microwave, 2 sinks, and mini fridge) was great to have. Off that nook was the bathroom. Great size; beautiful tile work; and again, very neat and clean.
Don't even get me started on the food. I am a cook and self-proclaimed foodie, so I'm a tad picky when it comes to food. We had dinner at Peppermill's the night we arrived. Classy, yet homey and relaxing spot. The French onion soup is to DIE FOR. I would walk back there for more...which says a lot because I'm from NB! My husband had the Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork sandwich and it was also absolutely amazing. I couldn't stop eating the overflow that fell out of the sandwich every time he'd take a bite.
The next morning we made our way to the breakfast buffet. That was something I'd find in my best foodie dreams. So... many... options!! They even had baked beans, for crying out loud! I loaded up my plate with all the fresh, HOT food I could manage to pile on there and ate until I grew 6 chins and was about to rip my pants. Totally would've been worth it if that had happened.
So, to sum up. Stay here EVERY chance you get. My husband and I from now on will ONLY stay here when we are travelling that way. In fact, we are planning a trip to Cornwall soley to stay at this hotel for longer than just one night. Seriously, we are now just finding excuses to have to come back. Birthdays...anniversary...a Wednesday....
