I've been here on occasion when visiting London as there aren't too many vegan friendly locations, which is a big plus. The quality of food here has always been consistent. The service is fast; the location is well kept and well decorated. In most of those visits this location would rank a 3 or 4 stars for quality vs cost and overall experience.
However, this last experience motivated me enough to post a review. tl;dr I didn't appreciate being made felt like I was doing something wrong while ordering my food.
The cashier didn't verify my order and was shocked when I gave her back her cups because I didn't order what she thought I ordered. She then proceeded to correct her mistake and made some off hand remark about how she needed to cancel the first order before she could take the rest of my order. Fair enough for her to say but my perception of her tone was not pleasant. The top it off she still messed it up giving me for a dinner size order as opposed to the lunch side option.
I have worked in a similar position before. It's really hard to hear people, I get that and I am usually sympathetic to cashiers but maybe I just read too much into her tone of voice, or maybe I was just too hangry to care, but in the end I had a very negative experience and all it would have taken was a 'sorry' or two and to confirm an order out loud with me to check for accuracy.
My positive from this particular experience is that they did at least confirm that the vegan meal was a vegan meal, and the dinner size option can probably be left overs for the next day if it survives the 2.5h...
Read moreOrdered a large wonton soup. Container was half empty and barely any broth. Broth was oily and full of huge black chunks. Tasted it and it tasted like burnt pan. So gross. Pad Thai had no nuts in it. Otherwise the food is decent but when you spend so much on a meal you expect a higher quality. Disappointed 😞.
UPDATE
I would lile to update that they did comp us a free soup the next time we ordered but technically that was just giving us the soup we paid for originally anyways and then screwed up again by giving us rice instead of rice noodles in one of our boxes. To which of course they offered to comp us a free one next time we ordered . Although this also technically felt like getting what we paid for already as apposed to getting something extra for their error. We have graciously excepted the offers though as we don't like to bit the hands that feed us.
I will order from here again as we enjoy the food. However we also appreciate getting exactly what we asked for. Not to sound up tight, but that's why they give us all the options in the first place right? Otherwise just simply say what your sending and people can choose to take it or leave it if giving options is too much to handle.
We will likely stick to pick up only. Its seems its the only way to get the...

Went to Wok Box this week and placed an order for take out for my wife and I. I asked my wife to wait for the food while I went to Loblaws to get gas. Went across the road to Loblaws and got a full tank of gas, texted my wife and the food wasn't ready. So I went in the store to pick up some groceries came out, went back to Wok box and the food still wasn't ready. This trip took 25 minutes at minimum yet they had still not finished preparing the order of two meals and an appetizer to go. We waited some more and finally after 30+ minutes the food was ready. The person putting the food to go asked if we wanted cutlery to which we said we do not. They proceeded anyways to put it in the bag by reaching and grabbing the utensils not by the handle but by the top with their bare hands. This would have been gross even before Covid because really... who picks up any food utensil by the part that goes into someone's mouth? Regarding the price, it is over priced. I ordered a full container amount and what I got was half the container or more stuffed with their cheap rice and then like 9 little pieces of chicken. For the price I'm paying it should be a full container of chicken not...
