Been too long since we dined in at what IMHO is London’s most unique and diverse “za” joint. Have it your way (if wasn’t already taken as a slogan) epitomizes the extremely creative and accommodating food choices for pizza and non pizza menu items. A mildly eclectic interior space that is bright and comfortable combined with a very attentive level of service that is just the right mix of helpful without being intrusive. Solid price for the quality and quantity of food on offer and one of our “absolute favourite” thin crusts and it all adds up to a perfect dining spot in London’s downtown. I don’t usually recommend take out or to go but experience has taught that the Zen pies do travel well, but seriously you gotta eat here. From its early days as a Rico just before the name change, Wayne (de who?) and his partner Jocelyn have built a solid business that should now be considered a downtown staple.

James from Bath is hilarious as well as knowledgeable on all menu items. The pizzas are not cheap, and you definitely get what you pay for! I had the mushroom pizza (much better with basil than rosemary in my opinion), and it was COVERED in diced mushrooms (crimini I believe, but I could be mistaken). The crust is very thin and very crunchy. Delicious. 😋 Gluten-free and vegan pizzas are available. They have a few different flavours of kumbacha (? sp)... The Berry one is not to my liking; very bitter with a hop-y aftertaste. The green tea one is nice - reminds me of a gingery sprite mix but not a sweet/sugary. Free WiFi, street parking, and there was a hop-scotch game on the patio sidewalk that you could play. James would play with you if you didn't have a partner (or one who wasn't willing to play). Next time I'm in London, I'll be here.

Zen'za pizza is genuinely the best pizza I have EVER eaten! Wow! I can't eat dairy, and usually dairy free pizzas just aren't very good (I've lived in many big cities, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and had yet to have a truly delicious dairy-free) - but Zen'za's is amazing (even better than all the dairy pizzas I've had - you cannot tell the cheese is dairy-free)! I highly recommend the Taco & BBQ Chicken pizzas, I couldn't put the taco one down. I'm definitely going to order from here lots in the future. They really load the pizza with toppings, it's perfect. Everything tastes very fresh and just so good, wow. I'm speechless. The owners and staff are so kind too :) Thanks Zen'za for your delicious food and wonderful service! Worth every dollar! ❤️

Buddies and I decided to go here. I'm going to try and factor in their opinions with mine to give out scores.

I started with the Vegan Caesar Salad (8.2/10). Would've liked an actual noticeable sauce, but the flavour was dead on impressive. I ate it quickly.

I also got the Vegan Hotzo'ag (8.4/10). Really good. The cook told me the meat was made from cremini mushrooms. Flavourful and in a wrap which was different. Really good and would recommend along with the Caesar Salad.

I tried the Nomskullz my buddy had. They were basically calzones in the shape of a skull (7.4/10). Tasted fine. Nothing crazy. Got Marinara with it which was different.

The three of us also got Pizzas.

I got the Vegan Greek'za (7.4/10). No complaints on the flavour, but didn't "wow" me.

My one buddy got the BBQ Brisket'za (7.3/10). I'm personally not a BBQ sauce on pizza fan, but I thought it tasted fine.

My other buddy got the Cheeseburger Pizza (7.2/10). Literally tasted like a Cheeseburger on a pizza. Nothing unique.

I got a dairy-free cookie for dessert which was okay, but didn't really stay together (6.2/10). Tasted fine, but needed more integrity.

Really want to go back and try the Renaissance and Taco pizza.

Update (4/18/24)

Went here with my brother to try some new things. I got the Hotza'og again and it was just as good as before. Trid the Vegan Renaissance Pizza (7.4/10). It was good, but nothing really stood out. Again impressive Vegan Pizza. I tried some of my brother's Farmer's Pizza (7.2/10). It tasted like a fresher version of the Canadian Pizza from Little Caesars😆, I think. It could be another one.

Taco Pizza next time if I go then, I'm probably done with this restaurant...

Was super excited to check out this pizza place that had all sorts of vegan options with the outstanding Google reviews. I was utterly disappointed. Went here to grab a bite before a concert and the service was just awful. Our waitress was plenty nice just not very good at her job. She had to ask us three times what our order was. One tip might be to write it down. The sad part was it was not a complicated order. We simply ordered half a vegan balsamic and half a vegan greek pizza. She also only filled up our water once after I asked to have our pizzas to-go instead. This was after 50 minutes of sitting there. Why did I change from a sit down to take out after being there so long? Oh yeah, we waited over 50 minutes for our pizza to come with only an update that they were getting close after 45 min. As I waited, I also watched our waitresses service to other customers since I did not have food in front of me and it was hard to watch. She would forget other people's drinks after they had been there for 20 minutes. Again, she was plenty nice and apologetic but bad service is bad service. I started to piece together that the people beside us asked for the check right away after getting their pizza more than likely because they themselves waited for so long. They left immediately after getting their food likely because they didn't anticipate waiting an hour for a pizza to be made. The silver lining was the pizza was tasty in the end. But the horrible service left me feeling hungry when I thought pizza would be a relatively quick and...

The owners of this place need to run for prime minister; the country would be in good hands and frankly be a much better place. As someone who deals with ulcerative colitis and tries very hard to eat a clean and natural/organic diet to help manage my disease without the need of medication or surgery, it has been extremely difficult to find places that provide safe, exceptional food that I can enjoy and feel comfortable eating. There is no compromise at this place. For them, it's the people and food first, not the money. Anyone with any food issues should be able to get a pizza at this place. They cater to everyone, and the food is so good! The food is like a home cooked meal from the favourite cook in your family. It only takes one time eating there to know their service is genuine, and the atmosphere is nothing but tranquility and community; it's a safe space for everyone. Their walls are covered in quotes of wisdom, tough love and gentle reminders; there's one for everyone's situation when you need it. You could come out a better person going to this place.... I am so grateful for their existence and pray for them to be around forever. If anyone was to ever want to invest into something, it should be Zen Za. Bring Zen Za to the world. They can save the world through pizza and are role models for what good humans are suppose to be.I thank and appreciate, Zen Za, for existing, doing your thing and everything you have and continue to do for the people and community. May Zen Za be forever and always! Long live, Zen...
