Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Oshawa

Update as of July 18/25- Ordered large wrap w 2 side Greek salads. Hot dammit it was delicious and their service is killer. Sometimes they are crazy busy so I realized I need to be more understanding and patient when they are super busy. Most places have very poor service when they take orders while they are busy but this place does its best at all times. They are very apologetic when they make mistakes which does not happen these days at most places. This is why I will keep going back as most places don't have what this place has.

Prior July 11 2025 review- Been going here for a few years now and they are still killing it compared to many Toronto sites. Far beyond any other locations in all aspects. I can only add to my previous positve review. Thanks again to the peeps working there. Awesome service all around. The peeps put in work and it shows. Highly recommended.

This is an older review bit still holds weight. Awesome service. They will treat you like a special customer. Been to many Osmows in Toronto and Durham and this is the best by far. Chkn Shawarma fattoush salad oooooeeee it's delersh.

Update as per Oct 25/24 Yet again this Osmows location killed it. They ran sauces out to my wife while she was waiting at the light outside their shop because I like all sauces on the side. Killer service. So much so I sent an email to the head office in Canada. Many other locations could learn from this spot as they treat customers extremely well and they are not cheap (unlike many other food spots) about portions. Osmows is pricey but not when it comes to this spot.

I never review places but here I go again and agai and again cuz they so damn worth it...Same ol Killers!!....they keep doing such a killer job, I have to give them a grand slam again as I just ate the best Greek Chicken Shawarma salad. Only Greek dressing, hold the green peppers for me, and nothing else is how I get it now, and it's such a treat. Service, value and always getting the order right is why I keep doing this. I hate typing(texting) unnecessarily but these cats deserve it. Again just updating this place and the killer service so people understand this place is no joke and about the best Osmows in the GTA and I hope they get the "REP" they deserve.

Reassuring to know that not all restaurants are looking to take advantage of the public when it comes to prices, quality, quantity and service.

I keep wanting to add to the review but there is nothing to add. SO GOOD QUALITY, QUANTITY AND SERVICE that no other Osmows around can compare including a few I have tried in Toronto. I add to my review because they deserve my time and there is pretty much nothing more to add to the near perfection they provide. But peeps need to know that of you are going for an Osmows.....THIS IS THE SPOT TO GO AS MANY OTHERS CANT COMPARE. This is my 8th update to my review but it's well deserved as they keep killing it time after time. They do honor repeat customers when they can as they don't want to be too obvious as they are always busy.

Not sure whats going on with this location? BUT, for whatever reason, when i order chicken or beef shawarma wrap. I constantly have to remind the employee to add the SAUCE to the meat first. Be it any sandwich or wraps. The most common sense thing to do is add sauce to the meat prior to wrapping. This has happened to me for the 6th time so far. Couple of other times employee would actually add sauce to meat, just like with any other wraps. But, MOST of the time they DON'T add any sauce at all to the meat, at all.... They do include sauce packets, which is great. But, why would i add sauce to my wrap after every bite? I don't think this location realizes how much it changes the taste of this wrap, when they DON'T add any sauce to the meat. Not sure if it is a corporate thing? But, it really changes the taste of the wrap, for the wrong reasons. I just hope the owner reads this review and changes the way they make their wraps. This isn't anything complicated? Other locations they would add sauce to meat first. I just don't want to be constantly reminding the employee to add sauce to the meat. Otherwise, whats the point of a wrap? (04/03/2024)Good food! Absolutely love their Chicken on the rocks(rice). I normally get it with feta cheese, pita crutons, garlic sauce and Philly on the side. I'm not sure what that Philly sauce is but it's super yummy and gives your tastes buds the extra "ummph"!! There has been times in the past where my food isn't made right or where I received some kind of meat with what looks like "filler" in it(from multiple locations). But haven't had that experience as of recently coming to Courtice,(Possibly new management has taken over). I also recommend the fattoush salad or oz box. I would say pretty affordable in regards to prices. Now for portion, for the price you pay, it's quite alot, even with just the regular chicken on the rocks/rice, most of the time I have left overs. Before I came to Oshawa 2.5 years ago I never even knew what shawarma was! I'm always up for trying new places/new foods! CON: Fries are never cooked right even when you ask for them "well done", And staff aren't very pleasant when you call them to request something if it's not on...
