This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we found the fusion of Italian and Filipino cuisine to be quite refreshing. We ordered the Pork Belly Risotto. The sauce was well-balanced. The rice and pork were salty. It was unique and different. It tasted great and the portion size was just right. We also tried the build your own pasta. Which was a nice option. Sun-dried tomatoes, with spinach and olives in a garlic oil sauce. They threw in some chili’s for us to spice it up. Which we appreciated. Real tasty, well put together and prepared perfectly. Compliments to the chef. Thank you for a great meal. We will be back.

I just had to try this Pork Belly Risotto by Phillip'n Italian. They're located inside Oshawa's Market at 70 King. It just sounded so good but the taste was a little confusing. The pork belly was absolutely delicious, with nice caramelized edges giving it a nice texture. The flavour was really good. The risotto, on its own, was good but these two components didn't match very well for me. Maybe I'm too familiar with Asian foods. I think I would have preferred a traditional mushroom risotto. The service was excellent, warm and friendly. I'll be back!

The BEST FUSION of Italian and Philippine food!

I haven't seen a lot of South East Asian cuisine in the Durham region, but I am SO GLAD that this place is finally here! Philipp'n Italian is a great place that caters a delicious medley of Filipino and Italian food.

The Pork Belly Risotto I ordered was very delicious: the pork was very flavourful and tender, and the risotto balances the meal! Another time I went there, I ordered their sliders from the expanded lunch menu and didn't expect for receive 3 for $14! The longganisa sausage used for the sliders tasted amazing (a very nice char, and a perfect sweet and almost spicy flavour!) and the veggies and sauce paired very well! My partner ordered a create your own pasta and it was also very creamy, delicious and well worth the price!

The owners of this family-run restaurant are also very friendly and wonderful. One time I was craving an ube tiramisu and got to the market about 10 mins past closing time. They were cleaning up. I politely asked if I was still able to place one order of tiramisu despite the place being closed and they were more than happy to provide. The ube tiramisu was very creamy and bold, with the ube flavour pairing very well with the coffee.

Overall, the menu selection is wonderful, creatively mixing two distinct flavours that is very well known to create something exciting and new! The prices make sense, and the meals are splendidly served by good people. Would definitely...

This was our first time visiting this place. I like the overall atmosphere but it’s a bit noisy. But clean and fresh, nice renovation and kinda kool inside. We tried the pork belly risotto which was very small but rich and tasty and the lasagna which was ok. The portions seemed undersized…We ate in, so we could try some dessert afterwards. My husband got homemade ice cream from the place across the way. Delicious! I would order the risotto again but not the lasagna. We shared both in order to try different things. My husband agreed that the lasagna was just ok. It took a long time to get our food. Staff...
