The Regent Theatre Ontario Tech is an enjoyable place to go when your looking for something to do or an event to attend and get out of the house and into a more social setting. The Regent Theatre is a very crisp and clean place, it's home to countless live performances threwout the year (both new up and coming talent as well as huge and famous live Broadway shows like The Sponge Bob Square Pants Musical (live from Broadway the posters and website said at the time) that took place there last year. The Regent Theatre also holds various "movie nights" featuring a very wide spread variety of titles, genres, decade, ect. There's literally something for everyone in the always refreshing event content planner. The Regent is also home to countless live shows featuring some of the most incredible talent in cover bands/shows of such a wide array of the most loved and enjoyed bands and solo artists so far across the spread of time. Again, there's something for everybody. Weather you live in or around Oshawa or your a guest just visiting and passing threw The Regent Theatre Ontario Tech located on King St E in the heart of Oshawa's downtown core is definitely one of my top recommended places (and or venues) to check out if/when your looking for an activity, weather it be for a family, friends, girls night, guys get together, or just a random get out of the house and do something type of reason, I'm confident you will find something to spark interest taking place at The...

I recently attended a classical dance performance at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa, Ontario, and it was a delightful experience. The theatre, located at 50 King Street E, is a beautifully restored venue owned by the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, exuding historic charm with modern comforts. The intimate setting, with comfortable seating and excellent acoustics, ensured every moment of the performance was captivating. The classical dance show was mesmerizing, showcasing graceful choreography and talented dancers who brought the stage to life. The sound system was impeccable, enhancing the music that accompanied the performance, and the sightlines were clear from our seats, making every movement visible. The staff were friendly and efficient, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The concession stand offered reasonably priced refreshments, though it’s worth noting they only accept cash, with an ATM conveniently located in the lobby. Parking was hassle-free, with free spots available after 6:00 PM, which added to the convenience of the evening. The Regent Theatre’s ability to host such high-quality performances in a cozy, elegant space makes it a gem in Oshawa. I’d highly recommend catching a show here, especially for dance enthusiasts. We’re already looking forward to...

Been here several times over the years, most recently "Whose Live Anyway" and "Elvis - Wonderful World of Christmas"..

The venue is a perfect size for any type of show-- not too massive like some of the theaters downtown Toronto and not too small for it to feel like you're about to watch a low rent production. Any seat you purchase will give you a great line of sight.

Could use more bathroom options on the main floor but not a huge issue. All in all, I am lucky that this theater is able to attract good showcases throughout the year and provide me with local options without needing to travel into the city.

Tons of public parking and restaurants nearby for some good eats...

Gorgeous theater. The restoration is top notch. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The sound and lighting is great as well. The foyer is a tad small and gets super crowded at the (snack) bar, but it's manageable. Less one star for being a cash only bar. Not sure if this was a one off, but it would have been good to know this in advance as I do not have any debit cards from their cash machine.

Four of us (2 musicians) went to see Mad dogs and Englishmen at the Regent theatre last Friday. We all agreed that it was an all around great show. The performances were excellent and the sound was great. To be able to pick out any 1 of 12 musicians on stage and hear their part at any time is what you want to hear. And it was that good. It was worth the trip and we’ll go again.
