While researching museum/art gallery wedding venues in Durham, my now-husband and I came across the RMG. We booked a tour right away and met with Carole. The tour was great and Carole is so personable. We ended up booking the Isabel Gallery for the ceremony, Arthur's for the reception, and the Lobby for welcomes and dancing. Although we didn't book the backyard, we were still welcome to use it for our wedding photographs. We then visited again just to explore the gallery, and wow! It's so much bigger than it looks. There were so many exhibits filled with amazing art from both classic and contemporary artists. We even saw works from students of nearby schools (such talented young artists)! The wedding day came and everything happened so seamlessly, even with the 4pm set-up time. The team set everything up so quickly and exactly the way we had planned in our set-up maps (provided by Carole). The team, especially Carole and Brigitte, are so kind and upbeat, it was truly such a wonderful day! Our friends and family can't stop talking about what a wonderful venue we chose. Read moreLast night I was at the gallery for the monthly meetings with the City of Oshawa's, C.D.E.I.C.-Community Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committe. I've been serving with great success for over two years, now. However, years ago I was a volunteer Art Guide at the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery. As an artist, just being familiarized with certain artists works, their histories, key notes of interest and intrigue.. Works of art of another language human being refine that they may express articulately.. This Art Gallery, itself, has an amazing history, here, in Oshawa. Those large circles in varying position, connected to one another via a linear, single-line utilizing metal.. There is a photograph of all of the original people whom had invested great interest and money in having an art museum built. The circles on the front, right side of the edifice, correspond with the position of the head of each of those persons in that photograph.. And now you know, if you didn't already..
