While researching museum/art gallery wedding venues in Durham, my now-husband and I came across the RMG. We booked a tour right away and met with Carole. The tour was great and Carole is so personable. We ended up booking the Isabel Gallery for the ceremony, Arthur's for the reception, and the Lobby for welcomes and dancing. Although we didn't book the backyard, we were still welcome to use it for our wedding photographs. We then visited again just to explore the gallery, and wow! It's so much bigger than it looks. There were so many exhibits filled with amazing art from both classic and contemporary artists. We even saw works from students of nearby schools (such talented young artists)! The wedding day came and everything happened so seamlessly, even with the 4pm set-up time. The team set everything up so quickly and exactly the way we had planned in our set-up maps (provided by Carole). The team, especially Carole and Brigitte, are so kind and upbeat, it was truly such a wonderful day! Our friends and family can't stop talking about what a wonderful venue we chose. We even visited soon after the wedding as we left some of our items, and Carole kindly set them aside for us to pick up. We look forward to...

Healthy Artisan Hub, Clean, Respected, Opportunities for all ages, informative, secure, group opportunity, OAC Grant affiliate, group affiliation, corporate, established for years, job position or volunteer possibilities, is essentially the Oshawa Gallery to get into, open to public, has all amenities including wheelchair access and elevators, and offers genuine credit with award recognition that matters to personal artists, for future personal positions in all types of artistic venture. It is a large gallery with deep history. Has honored all types of artists both local and international, historic or new. This is a multicultural and cultured place of high standards. Hard workers paid, and volunteer to maintain with integrity, politeness, enduring years of a rising and falling economy, yet The Robert McLaughlin Gallery stays. -This, is a reflection of a continuous, creative City, that still keeps Art, gives Art, as this gallery continues to entertain us with causes that edify our very society, I hope it thrives, and people participate, even...

Last night I was at the gallery for the monthly meetings with the City of Oshawa's, C.D.E.I.C.-Community Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committe. I've been serving with great success for over two years, now. However, years ago I was a volunteer Art Guide at the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery. As an artist, just being familiarized with certain artists works, their histories, key notes of interest and intrigue.. Works of art of another language human being refine that they may express articulately.. This Art Gallery, itself, has an amazing history, here, in Oshawa. Those large circles in varying position, connected to one another via a linear, single-line utilizing metal.. There is a photograph of all of the original people whom had invested great interest and money in having an art museum built. The circles on the front, right side of the edifice, correspond with the position of the head of each of those persons in that photograph.. And now you know, if you didn't already.. I highly recommend visiting Robert McLaughlin...

Went for Christmas tea. The room was very bright and clean with large windows to see out. The tables had fresh white linen clothes. Each person had an individual ceramic tea pot with the tea they chose. There was not a large variety of teas but the ones we chose had nice flavour. One member of our group has food sensitivities and the venue took care to prepare a menu for her that fit her dietary needs. She said her food was delicious. In afternoon tea tradition, we had scones with lemon curd, whipped cream and a berry compote. Small sandwiches of cucumber and cream cheese (the classic) egg salad,Turkey with cranberries and a prosciutto croissant. There was also a tortilla wrap with smoked salmon. Desserts included chocolate covered Strawberry, fruit custard tart, a snowman merengue and a homemade sandwich cookie. Staff was super nice.

Upon entering The Robert McLaughlin Gallery, I was immediately greeted by two very attentive individuals. As I ventured further into the space, I had the pleasure of speaking with Heather, who was not only kind and professional but also exceptionally knowledgeable. Despite the gallery not being at full capacity during my visit, the experience was nonetheless quite enjoyable. It was calm, thought-provoking, and stimulating—full of artistic talent for anyone who appreciates fine art as much as I do. I would highly recommend taking the time to explore and savor the experience. It was not rushed, and while the gallery may not have been fully complete in its offerings, it certainly feels like a work in progress. I look forward to returning and continuing to support this wonderful venue.1

Great gallery! Very happy that they've brought back the free Sunday events, now sponsored by OPG. We used to go before COVID and always had a great time. Got the chance to attend the recent Sunday program and staff at both activities were so supportive and friendly. Farah especially, has such enthusiasm and love for what she does. The gallery itself is fantastic. There's a small kids room with hands-on activities and the exhibits are fantastic. I was privileged to see Couzyn van Heuvelen's CAMP exhibition, which was so amazing, despite only having four pieces, but they certainly make an impact. A must-see. The entire gallery is worth the drive out to this special space, and you (and your kids, as it's pretty kid-friendly) can spend over an hour here, looking at all the collections.
