Pita Land Shawarma - Oshawa — Restaurant in Oshawa

I regularly visit the pita land in Scarborough at Morningside. The Scarborough location is delicious and the best shawarma in the GTA in my opinion. I was so happy to see there was a location in Oshawa. I tried to visit the Oshawa location several times without success the store was always closed even when the hrs posted said it would be open. I finally managed to go in when it was open. My first thought, I was turned off as there is bird cages for sale and the worker was cleaning a bird cage when I came in so right away not thinking amazing things. In my opinion bird cage sales and food sales don't go together. I still gave them a shot. The garlic they are using for their garlic paste is rotten. They smeared it all over the pita and the potatoes and it was 100% rotten garlic being used had that very very off strong garlic taste. The chicken also had a ton of grit in it. Not nearly the same quality as the Scarborough location. I have never got grit in my chicken shawarma at the ScarboroughMorningside location. At the Oshawa location every bite had grit. I ended up throwing the food out it totally turned me off won't be going back to this...

Poor: washrooms are out of order. Ordered chicken souvlaki, and the guy puts down a handful of chicken shreds and started dicing them. Politely asked him if that was souvlaki and pointed to the menu board which had 3 giant pictures of souvlaki, and was told he cant make any of that because he only has a flat grille and not a charcoal grille. I got confused and quickly realised this guy is just using Greek cuisine and culture as a FRONT and just butchering it to hell. no pork to be had on, not.even offered on the menu, and the gyro isnt lamb but shaved beef. Totally laughable will never ever ever go here again. Fix your washrooms and label your food as shredded garbage...

I believe in supporting local businesses. I remained a loyal regular customer during the pandemic, however I feel I must now write a review (I normally don't). When I feel that I'm being taken advantage of as a consumer, I must write. This place has gone downhill. I ordered two chicken shawarma plates, paying over $32. The plate was filled with mostly lettuce and other fillers. Barely any rice, chicken or potatoes. The chicken tasted old, potatoes were dry. The chicken must have been a day old. I am extremely disappointed with this place. I will no longer be going...
