My husband and I stayed the night at this hotel while passing through. We checked in around 8:30-9pm, went to sleep an hour or 2 later, woke up, had breakfast and we were on our way. A week or 2 later I noticed a $500 charge on my MasterCard and was confused so I called to inquire. I was told that my profile stated we damaged a chair in the room. To my complete surprise because we never even touched the chair in the room, I was very upset and frustrated. The person said he would speak to someone and call me back. Next day, never heard anything so I called again but this time asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to someone about the issue, she put me on hold to get the manager, but apparently she had stepped out but would pass along my message and call me back. Ofcourse I never did hear back so I called again to speak to a manager, well ofcourse they don’t work weekends, fair enough. I asked for an email address, sent off an email but it failed to deliver so I called AGAIN to confirm the email. Maybe I misheard the first time, I’m not sure but there was one letter off. Sent off another email just for it to fail to be delivered. This time I sent an email to customer relations about this matter. They initially selected the wrong hotel so I had a different BW contacting me so I emailed them back letting them know and they made the correction and resent it to the appropriate location. The hotel was given 2-5 business days to reply. 5 days go by, no reply. Another email sent off. Finally this time the hotel replied stating they stand by the charge because the chair was intact damaged. At this point, I had no proof, no receipt for this charge, nothing. I demanded a photo of this broken chair which was sent to me, however, how does this prove anything? The chair was sitting in an office space not in the room I stayed in. How can anyone be certain this was even in that room or broken by us? Again though, we didn’t even touch the chair let alone sit in it for it to potentially break. One leg was broken off (wooden leg) according to the photo sent that apparently costs $500 to repair or replace which is absolutely insane to me. That is besides the point. The Regional Manager then chimed in and basically said the same thing, the charge stands for the damaged chair that was discovered following our departure. I am beyond furious, frustrated, all the things because $500 is a lot of money, especially during these times. I want what is rightfully mine back because THEY are in the wrong not me. If I knew I broke something in the room, I’d admit to it right away and would not go to all these lengths. This hotel is terrible and I advise anyone thinking I’d staying...
Read moreMy first night was quite loud as I was given a room by main doors and very busy.. I couldn't access the Wi-Fi because I wasn't aware of the password until the ladies serving breakfast gave it to me the next morning.. I wasn't aware that I could ask for water from the front desk or that I could eat snacks from left over breakfast as I was starving when I arrived having been caught in a blinding snow storm.. there should be water bottles in the rooms provided.. I would also appreciate it if there was a Bible in the rooms provided as I was not equipped with my own due to unexpected circumstances.. I went without water apart from the sink tap in my bedroom for the two days I stayed there.. I was not adequately informed of what was available.. My coffee machine was broken in my room and I was unaware of how to reach the front desk.. the guy that registered me the first night did not familiarize me with what was available or offer me what the hotel provided dini was left unaware during my stay.. The remote in my second bedroom dis not work well and the channels I used the first night were somehow not available in the second room.. There was a window leaking water in the walkway which left quite the puddle that I thought I might slip in which you don't expect to see at a hotel.. The staff were friendly for the most part.. I was however not accurately accommodated beyond ensuring payment was successful from the front desk.. It would have been nice to have been introduced to all that was potentially available from the hotel as I was tired and very hungry and quite stressed when I arrived having come from a blinding snow storm on the 401.. hence my stay! I was disappointed that it was other guests and the breakfast staff who informed me the second day of what was available.. I didn't even know how to reach the front desk of I needed anything and Wi-Fi wasn't working the second day.. A hotel that needs a few improvements however the $104 and $85 that I paid weren't to terribly proved.. just need to make some repairs to be properly prepared for your guests...a broken window leaking horribly with buckets and towels and creating a nasty puddle that guests could slip in right near the front doors is NOT...
Read moreTo say this hotel needs a serious update is an understatement. The two rooms that we had were run down with plenty of visible stains on the curtains, bedding and carpeting.
I can't believe how not one employee could miss these large stains on the curtains and not clean, replace, or notify management about them.
The carpet was dirty and had a moldy smell that made the entire room smell dingy and old.
Do you want to cool down with air conditioning? Don't expect anything but a fan that blows slightly cool air.
The walls could definitely use a coat of paint and some plaster repairs.
The bathroom was definitely dated but if you are into the 70's Era, then you'll enjoy it.
Now, I'm not one to jump the gun and throw in negative reviews, nor do I enjoy leaving negative reviews.
Having read some earlier reviews, and see others stating how beautiful the rooms were and updated, I just felt that that was wrong to say and have taken pictures of my rooms(129 and 131). I was disgusted to the point that we packed our bags and left the hotel within an hour or so after check in.
To top it off, there was a Police raid unfolding as we drove to the front to drop off our keys.
So besides the dingy, dirty and smelly rooms, and the Police entertainment , I would NOT suggest nor recommend anyone staying at this location.
I do apologize for the negativity, but for the PRICES you're charging, one would expect much more.
As for the staff, they were very friendly and I'm sure they knew exactly where we were coming from.
And to the staff, The rooms were not booked under my name, but rather a company name. We had checked into the rooms today, for you to...
