Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Oshawa

*Beware customers of **this place I come to swiss chalet on a weekly basis. I want to share this experience with you, so you can be informed that this is by far the worst Swiss Chalet franchise you can choose to order from. When I arrived, no one came to the front counter for at least 5 mins. They saw me standing there, but it seems everyone was in their own world or trying not to help a customer. FINALLY, someone showed up, when they showed up they seemed confused about how to work the cash register. Once my order was in I asked him to give me a courtesy sweet chili thai sauce on the side, he said not a problem. Keep in mind I come to Swiss Chalet every week and as a courstesy im always provided sweet chili sauce as im not too fond of the chalet sauce. I ordered a double leg dinner with vegetables and side of fries and of course sweet chili sauce on the side. Once I got my order, I asked if the sauce was in the bag, the reason I did that is because I live 15 min away from this franchise and on numerous occasions they have misplaced my items including the sauce. In the past, they have been ok as I was credited for the missing items on my next visit. This is how I got familiar with the previous manager because he was always trying to improve. When the server checked the bag, of course, there was no sauce. I told the server he forgot my sauce he then proceeded to the back and came back empty-handed, telling me I have to now pay for the sauce. I said to him I usually get a courtesy of sweet chili sauce as I do not like the chalet sauce. Either way, I proceeded to pay. The server then went to the back and came back with the sauce a little more then half way filled. I asked him to please fill it up as this time I paid for the sauce, and I will need a little more for my fries. He then told me that he couldn't fill it up the container any further as that is the maximum allowed for the 69 cents he had charged me. We went back and forth until I requested to speak to the supervisor. I explained to the supervisor that I am a regular customer who visits their location every week with my family, generally spending at least $100.00 on those visits and all I'm requesting is for them to top up the sauce I was given. I told the supervisor that normally the manager is awesome and he knows me. He quickly interrupted me and told me the manager was fired and no longer works here. He said that he would top it up for this time only then he turned his back on me and he left the room. I was so upset that about the poor treatment that asked the order taker for store number . They told me they did not have it and to go look it up online and would not give any names of the staff members I had spoken to, and the supervisor refused to come out and speak any further.

I felt like this level of customer service should be broadcased to show people how poorly customers are being treated at this location (store # 1947 at Harmony and Taunton). The level of service they are giving to people at this location is poor regardless of if you come all time or barely come at all. No one should have to go through this level of embarrassment over sauce. Other customers were watching with disgust and commented about how ridiculously I was treated for asking for a little more sauce. They were happy to take my $25.00 and then ignore me. Please please please please people avoid this location at all times. I will speak out always because I am a good, loyal customer, and people need to know the truth about this...

I came in with my family of 7. Once we walked in there was a girl at the front which one staff said she was new she was very rude and snarky even asked something along the line of what we are here for. Instead of putting are tables together are giving us one table she sat us at 2. The lady taking are order came around and asked why we are at 2 tables and we told her that this is what the other lady put us at. She said “we would she even do that maybe it’s because she is new” but we said it’s ok we don’t mind. When she was taking our order she was quite nice and we thanked her. Even though she kept forgetting somethings we asked her for like crayons for the kids. We got our starters at it was fine. My table the kids ordered pizza with fries, I ordered loaded pireogies as starter and half ribs with fries for a main my sister ordered chicken poutine as a starter and chicken quesadillas with fries for a main. When the mains came around I got the half ribs with fries and I already had my loaded pierogies. My sister had already gotten her chicken poutine. They brought a second chicken poutine when we said we already got one which was in front of us the lady screamed “ well, I’m sure that one of you ordered a chicken poutine and we said yeah but it’s already in front of us then she said no I’m pretty sure one of you ordered a chicken poutine as for your dinner and we said no, and then she pointed directly and said I know it was you that ordered the chicken poutine. I told her no I ordered loaded pierogies, which I have and half rack of ribs with fries, and my sister said that she had ordered the chicken poutine, but that was as a starter and not as a main. Her main was chicken quesadillas and she was adamant and kept pointing at me and saying well somebody here ordered a second chicken poutine . Point I was adamant and asked to stop pointing at me and that I did not order a chicken poutine and basted what I had ordered and then she was like are you all done? Are you happy now to shut me up and try to take my sister poutine away that she was still eating literally grabbed it from her hands That her food eating so she basically sat here for 30 minutes until we asked for it and then at the end they tried to charge us for two because she messed up. I’m so disgusted with the service and to describe the lady she’s heavyset with freckles and brunette hair, and the lady who greeted us and usher in that was rude as well Hair in a ponytail that was braided . I think this place is racist people of colour because I have spread the reviews and everybody who is a person of colour has said basically the same thing and I witnessed it firsthand seeing how they treat the other customers. She even stoped coming to our table altogether unless...

We love Swiss chalet chicken so much. We decided to order a whole chicken with four sides it's called a family meal. We thought that we could save the chicken and use it for sandwiches and make soup Maybe. Luckily we were able to do that with a whole chicken and it costs the same price to order a whole chicken and four sides then it does to order to quarter chicken meals. Unfortunately the website was down and it was very difficult to order from the website. Even the operator explained to us that there has been a lot of people ordering over the phone instead of online. Which to me sounds like there's an online ordering problem. So after that difficulty of trying to order the meal I had to call in and the meal took about an hour to get here which to me is quite some time to wait for something that's just down the street. I do understand that there are times that restaurants get busy and that's fine. Unfortunately by the time we got our food the fries we're extremely cold and the chicken was kind of just mashed and one of those quarter chicken takeout containers. To my surprise it was a little shocking to see the whole chicken crushed inside of a quarter chicken meal container. I've never ordered the whole chicken before so maybe this is how they display it I'm not exactly sure. The coleslaw that we had ordered was not even chopped very well it had very large pieces of coleslaw that you couldn't even fit in your mouth. The Buns on the other hand we're different from the normal buns that they usually serve with the meals it almost looked like they had someone run out and buy bonds from a grocery store. We unfortunately will not be eating at this Swiss Chalet ever again and I most likely will not bother telling them because usually when I do somebody always gets offended somehow LOL thank God for Google I do not recommend this specific Swiss Chalet to...
