Wok Box Oshawa — Restaurant in Oshawa

I am writing this on a full stomach so my brain is kinda in food coma but Ill try to convey what went on today. I was thinking about udon noodles all day today... fantasizing about them even to the point where I was look up pictures of udon on google. Doing so I happen to notice a noodle place in Oshawa Ive never been to and with a high rating. I researched the hell out of the menu, I even called the store trying to figure out what exactly I needed to satisfy this oh so maddening craving.

I got off of work at 8pm and I am starving at this point. I had already planned out my order ahead of time but when confronted with the sheer amount of options I kinda panicked at the register. My server was friendly, answered all questions and provided some recommendations when I asked for some. The owner/manager (you know who you are), was super friendly and we had a nice conversation regarding food choices to pass the time while I waited for my food. I ordered the firecracker sauce udon and Singapore sauce with udon. MY GOD it was good. I frankly ate the Singapore noodles in the car before I went home with the rest food for my family (my wife and dad ordered and loved their stuff as well).

100% would recommend to my family...friends.. random people on the internet...not my worst enemy tho..they don't deserve food this good. In all seriousness, I really enjoyed the food and service and will go again...and again...

I gave this 5 stars about 8 months ago and it had become my favorite place to eat out, but sadly ever since the ownership changed during summer..... I now never want to eat here again.The last time I ate here, the new owner changed the portion for the sauces, cutting it in HALF, and then started charging extra for it. My friend also got the soup they loved and it had been watered down and was so flavorless, it was disgusting. My rice was also under-cooked, but it was probably a small mistake made by staff. On that note, the majority of the staff are still incredibly nice and caring people, so I do NOT blame them for the changes or anything. After that experience, my friends and I will never eat here again, and we deleted the app. I would ONLY consider trying this place again if the new owner realizes how much they fugged up with the sauce cutback and trying to charge you to get even a decent amount of it, as well as any changes they dare made to the menu options (cutting down on ingredients and/or changing the companies (lowering quality) they got them from to cut costs?). I was VERY passionate about this place when the old owner ran things, as he was also passionate about running the place with food quality and his customer's happiness at heart. I now have to find a new favorite restaurant,...

Woke Box needs to bring back the last owner, he ran this restaurant with pride. Ordered a take out order today and I am never going to return. I have ordered in the previous months trying to give the new owner the benefit of the doubt and time to learn his business but this is not the case. The cleanliness of the restaurant has seen better days. The food is definitely not the same, items are not fresh and seem to just taste like mush and sometimes wonder what I was eating. And the pop machine that was a great staple for this syle of restaurant has not worked since the new owner has taken over and I was told that he was not replacing it or repairing it. .....? But still sits on the counter now for a very long time. As a regular customer of eating at this location at least twice a week when the previous owner was there, I have now chosen not to return. And yes the previous staff were amazing, they were always courteous and took the time to make sure you had everything you needed and served you right to your table. And always asked at the end of your meal with a basket of fortune cookies if you wanted one. Miss this atmosphere so much. Too bad this location is not going to get anymore of my business, I use to love this place and would drive 25...
