I went to this location at the Hospital in Oshawa on New Years Day and ordered a Large Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream. Not paying attention I grabbed the drink and left. I got to where the hospital had taken my Mother in Law 20 hours before... (not seen a Dr yet) but that's another gripe. I got to her and she needed attention so I sat my drunk down and tended to Mom. About 30 minutes later I was able to pick up my drink and have a sip. It was coffee, and not the way I take it. Not even close so I made my way back to Tim's and told the man behind the counter, (the only man there) that they had given me the wrong drink and would they mind exchanging it.
He says to me, How do I know you paid for a Hot Chocolate and not a coffee? I explained that I'd ordered a Hot Chocolate so why would they charge me for a coffee? He then tells me he is going to have to look it up on the till. (The line up was 10 deep on both tills) I told him that I didn't have time for this non sense. I didn't make the mistake, they did so please just remedy the mistake. He tells me that there was a difference in prices so in order to correct this he would have to determine whether or not the additional 50 cents was paid or not. At this point I was pretty agitated and told him to quit messing around wasting mine and everyone's time over 50 cents. If he wanted the 50 cents so bad I'd give it to him again... just get it done. He very reluctantly remade the Hot Chocolate and says to me as he is handing it over that they DO NOT make mistakes like this.... basically telling me he believes I'm running a scam, where I go around ordering coffees, take them for an hour, then go back and make up a story that they'd made a mistake.... all to save 50 cents.
I have a feeling he was the owner and if so... he should NOT be dealing with the public. Arguing with a customer over 50 cents that was already paid. Basically calling me a liar. Stay out from behind the counter there fella. Let your employees run it for you before you run it...
Read moreMost rude lady I have ever talked to in my entire life. I watch down to Tim Hortons after my 4 year old baby was admitted to the hospital with his mom and the staff forgot to give her dinner or breakfast so they advised me I could do down stairs and probably get her a bagel. Upon walking up to.l the counter an older lady begimd the counter in her 50s says do you work here.. when I proceeded to tell her the issues all she tells me is that's not my problem and I can't help you and they shouldn't be sending you down here anyways and starts pointing at a sign posted above the till stating they don't serve the public... when it's a patient in your hospital is it the public? And to top ot all of right after that she make a noise as in disgust that I even asked her and she walked away when I mentioned there is no reason to be rude and she smiles back... not s very good way to treat a patient or anyone at all as far as I'm concerned. I feel like any lady that treats anyone like that in a hospital should not work in a hospital environment. Upon reading reviews it sounds like this is not the first time someone had been treated very rudely by the staff and I feel like this issue should...
Read moreI wanted to claim my free coffee today as part of the "roll up the rim" and was told that it was expired!!! This happened last year to me later on in June and I was told it expires end of May, so this year I knew i had to claim them in May and was very frustrated today when I was told that it ended on May 3rd! It makes NO sense when you don't advertise the actual Exp date!! So how am I supposed to know?! You should print the Exp dates on the cups like any other receipt for merchandise! How fair is this to me as a customer that I just have to find this info from the cashier after staying in line for 15 minutes in the morning! As a result of this MISCOMMUNICATION I have 8 unclaimed wins from last year, and 4 from this year! This is EXTREMELY unfair to customers and basically MISLEADING the public. YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE THE EXP DATE TO PUBLIC, instead of hiding all these info to yourself and just one day stop accepting the claims! I talked to the manager at the branch and was told, she had no control since the rules are central by Tim Hortons...Can someone...
