I've been shopping at Fly By Nite since it's first iteration a few shops down from where it is now. Since then, the inventory has only gotten better. Not to mention a larger selection and quite possibly more organized than my own collection as someone with OCD!
Now let's talk prices. Their prices are always fair market value, and sometimes even cheaper than you'd expect. As a small business, it's always important to remember that these guys AREN'T Amazon. They don't have the buying power or the brand to be able to get rock bottom prices to turn the savings over to the customer.
Yet somehow THEY STILL DO!
Never have I bought something there that I have seen cheaper at another collectibles store. Let alone with the same guarantee, and cleanliness (they THOROUGHLY clean, test, and package each game and collectible that walks through the door.)
Justin (owner and friend of the famous and mysterious store mascot "The Biffster") and his amazing crew consisting of Peter (the word "stingy" is not in his vocabulary) and Daniel (an equally friendly, fair, helpful, and personable chap as Justin and Peter, who juggles school and work and takes pride in both) - have an incredible enterprise here.
I've known Justin for years and it has been an honor that he has become a true friend to me. Peter and Daniel have quickly followed suit.
These are the types of experiences that you will share when shopping at a place as caring and personable as Fly By Nite. Not often do you shop at places where you begin to feel like family, and in this department, you could call any one of them Vin Diesel.
Did I mention that if they don't have something, you might be able to place an order for it using their Pre-Order system? Never hurts to ask!
Oh, and they resurface discs. Does your Legend of Zelda Windwaker look like a hockey puck? For $5, it will look like it's never been on the ice.
I'm going to stop talking because if you've read this far, you're making your way to the store. GOOD CHOICE!
Thanks for everything,...
Read moreLet this local nerd tell you about how awesome this store was when one day my curiosity peaked and I went in.
The staff/store owner was super duper friendly, well knowledged and had everything I wanted.
I found a game I had been looking for forever placed nicely on their incredibly organized video game section (let me tell you, that's a blessing in itself to find and game section to be that easy to browse through)
LET ME TELL YOU THE REAL SICK part, I see a cool poster and obviously I want it and the owner goes...well..let me pull out this hidden item you never knew existed that's totally going to get your heart going and BAM my whole day was made.
Now I'm the happy owner of a some super sick velvet posters, a rare limited edition of game I never knew existed and I'm in love with this store.

Read moreMy best friend and I recently did a road trip to pick up a game locally that we ordered off eBay from another game store in Toronto, so we decided to make a day of it and check out about a dozen retro video game stores in Eastern Toronto area.
This store was so cool! They had a little bit of everything! From video games, to Funko, to Blu-ray, to pretty much any other niche collector's hobby you can think of.
Really enjoyed the store, most notably its really cool corridors of glass cabinets and tv displays. Gave the store a unique museum like feel.
Prices were really fair and managed to find a GameCube game I have been on the hunt for, for years at a great deal!
Cashier was nice and very helpful! I plan to eventually check out their new Peterborough location next time I make it up there as this store was such a good experience.
Highly recommend it to anyone...
